Introducing Ligtreb International Airport!

Day 701, 19:05 Published in USA USA by USA Welcoming Committee

Couple things I wanted to bring up

Ligtreb International Airport

Basically, I got bored and this happened.

Kidding. But really, we've been handing out a ton of moving tickets lately and have discussed the idea of opening up a moving tickets shop for a while now. The task of helping get new players to Q5 hospital regions so that they can keep their wellness maximized never ends, and thankfully we are able to help with that task - especially with the help of some great "skill 0" business owners who regularly refer new players our way 😃

Oh, and before anyone asks, this in no way replaces the "Flying Unicorn Squadron". That government program is running now with its new head, Serendipitious, quite smoothly from what I hear. The reason we are setting up our own program is to internalize some costs (as I personally hate bureaucratic hoops and dont like sending people to 6 different orgs to get started, so will still be handing out Moving Tickets) and to hopefully make a profit off of the business that we can use to fund our other endeavors. It also helps keep some strain off the flying unicorns program, which is government funded, which helps keep taxes low.

You know guys, it really is great that we manage to run this whole organization without government money. The USA Welcoming Committee has and will continue to be a non-profit organization operated completely on player donations. It makes me proud that the american people are willing to donate enough to keep an organization as active as ours funded.

Anyways, as always, jobs are posted at skill 0. If anyone wants to volunteer labor, that would be great. You can choose so for any amount of time, and need not feel obligated to stay any longer than you want to. This is especially true for our military members who may need to leave at any given time. Ligtreb and myself are very active and will have you fired from the company within 6 hours if you need to deploy.

Q&A Session:

Why is it an "international airport" if the tickets are going to be used to move people from one state to another?

Because it sounds cooler, doesn't it?

Does ligtreb know you just named an airport after him?

No, that makes it all the more amusing to me having done so. I needed something to name it, and since noone donated this one to us I had free reign.

I guess he'll find out when he gets home xD

Epic Fight! Not only did we defeat Hungary 1v1 (something like that) for the first time, but also the resistance war in North Korea succeeded, meaning that North Korea is back on the map again! o/

For those of you that dont know, the reason North Korea was not on the map was because they did a huge favor and sacrificed their nation in an attempt to save ours.

Anyways, my point in bringing it up is that as some of you already know, we handed out a ton of guns during the fight. It kept us fairly busy and we were unable to handle operations as normal. If anything got lost in the shuffle, such as you PMing us for help and not getting it or sending in gifts you wanted regifted but us not regifting, please PM us again. Things were pretty crazy around here.

I also wanted to take the time to say "you're welcome" to everyone that sent in letters of thanks. I couldnt respond to any, and felt bad, so yeah... We did it!

Also, as a reminder, if you donate gifts, they will not be regifted to you unless you send us a PM specifically stating how many you sent in, what quality, and that you want them regifted back to you.

Q2 house raffle

The Q2 house raffle I described in our last article is still going on! Every $1 sent in as a donation counts as one raffle ticket, and there are no limits to ticket purchases.

The money raised will continue to be used for non-profit purposes, such as gifting or providing MTs to new players.

Also, you dont particularly have to send a PM in, as every single donation sent to us will be considered raffle ticket purchases.

This contest ends Sunday, October 25th at midnightish EST.

Closing thoughts

I've had a couple people ask what they can do to help out the USA Welcoming Committee or the eUSA in general. For those interested, I point out this thread on the eUS forums, where there are a couple of ideas for ways to get involved or help out.

Dont forget to subscribe to this paper and to the DoD Orders and visit the eUS forums!
