Interview with Vyett Ynsydr (Party President for the FTP)

Introduction
Hello everyone! Here is the next interview with Vyett Ynsydr, Party President for the (currently) fifth biggest party in the eUK!

Q: Is Vyett Ynsydr your real name?
A: I’m afraid it isn’t. My real name is Jake French, as people on MSN will already know.
Q: How old are you?
A: I’m eighteen.
Q: What are your hobbies outside of eRepublik?
A: I play drums and piano. I write and generally go to see the latest films at least every week. I live in a town called Barry (‘What’s occurring?’ really isn’t said here all that much, to any Gavin and Stacey fans) and there isn’t a whole lot to do other than our one alternative club, the Savoy.
Q: What is your education status outside of eRepublik?
A: Sixth form, almost university.
Q: What drew you to eRepublik?
A: I saw an advert on a similar game, http://www.megalomania-game.co.uk, when promoting eRep to people I generally stress the importance of the individual and how one man can so easily make a difference if they’re able.
Q: Do you see yourself as a future President? Will you be running?
A: I might run in the future, though as FTP Party President, if there was anyone I’d support for president, it would be our very own Anaxima. If she continues her political career (Hopefully).
Q: How long do you think you’ll be around for?
A: Oh, probably until I don’t serve much purpose within eUK. I couldn’t say really, I’m hoping to stay around until after summer at least.
Q: Tell us a little about your experience with eRepublik so far?
A: So far I’ve co-founded Barnstormer Incorporated which now produces both grain and food. Recently I was elected the FTP Party President, though I served as its face and continued to support the illusion of a strong leader after the resignation of Hoth. In the last congress elections, I was elected with the most votes in the region in Wales. I am also the Welsh NHS Director.
Q: Do you feel any pressure with your role as Party President?
A: There is some, though I’ve had a lot of time to get acquainted with the role already and most of the party know me. Now that I’m formally party president of the FTP I really do have to watch what I say, which isn’t always easy and of course, I have to do everything in my power to ensure we stay within the top five, which isn’t the easiest job with the LSD as such a tough competitor. We had fewer members in the FTP than the LSD do currently when we gained entry into the top five.
Q: What does the role require you to do?
A: I generally act as a face for the party, I promote it where I can and hopefully I give the impression of a strong leader, something the FTP has needed after the disappointment of Final Destiny and Hoth. If time permits, I should be writing articles at the moment to express the current party vision.
Q: What do you think makes a successful Party President?
A: A successful Party President requires the trust and respect of the party’s members. They need strong conviction and cannot appear weak. I have worked hard to maintain an image I hope the members of the FTP can believe in, trust and respect.
Q: Is there anything you would like to add to finish off the Interview?
A: Thanks for giving me this opportunity, it makes me feel that I’ve at least come somewhere in politics if someone thinks I’m worth interviewing. Good luck to you in the future and I’ll be sure to subscribe.
