Interview with POTUS Candidate Cerb

Day 1,347, 16:55 Published in USA USA by sjohnfsdsxzzx

I’m going to go ahead and interrupt my series of interviews with Congress members to add in a special interview with POTUS candidate Cerb. With the presidential elections coming up in 6 days, this interview gives insight into the plans of a possible future president of the eUSA and I hope that I’ll be able to interview other candidates for POTUS soon.

Without further ado I present to you my interview with Cerb, unedited (except for the occasional grammatical correction).

What makes you qualified to lead the eUSA through such difficult times?

I have served in high-profile Cabinet jobs during the original invasion of America in 2009. I understand the importance of keeping up morale, enabling as many fights as possible, directing damage, and most importantly: WINNING.

How did you get involved in politics?

One of my eRep mentors, Ananias, encouraged me to run for Congress in April 2009. I lost my first race, but won the second time and numerous times after that. President scrabman also brought me into his Cabinet, and with Josh Frost's first term, I became heavily involved with international affairs, meta-alliances, and handling a large government department.

What do you think of the job Keating and his administration have done this past month?

Blank inherited an eUSA in a jam, surrounded by enemies. I think his team has put us on the track to recovering our regions, and WHPR's have been frequent and powerful. Blank isn't the flashy egomaniac that some of our Presidents were, but he's quietly doing his job at a very high level of excellence.

As POTUS what would your goals and top priorities be?

1) Obviously, regaining regions and halting Serbia are big priorities.
2) Push more mediums for information dissemination (I'll explain this in a later article).
3) Ramp up 'teenage' citizen education. Right now, I think we're having trouble boosting interested players into their first eJob. Call it elitism or whatever, the point is that the eUSA needs some new blood besides jaded cynics.

What is the biggest problem, in your opinion, that the eUSA is facing today?

See above answer. Cynicism and general disgust with the game and the admins' choices. Sure, this disgust has always been present, but the great leaders of the community are slowly quitting. Thus, our player education becomes weaker without good role models or teachers.

Where do you see the eUSA a month from now under your leadership?

I envision an eUSA with most of its regions back and one that is hopefully breeding the next generation of great generals, politians, and businesspeople.

What are your opinions on the state of our military and foreign affairs?

Regarding the military, that question deserves its own article, which I will also publish later. Suffice it to say, our ability to coordinate USAF with JCS rests on the edge of a knife - namely, Brad's particular mood at any given moment. I'd like to coordinate more directly with JCS Senior Officers, who are brilliant, capable individuals. They don't need Brad to hold their hand for them.

Not that the USAF is without flaws. It could improve its own 'branding', and do a better job fostering a community atmosphere on the forums. That is something the JCS was always good at.

What advice would you give to new players?

Join Boot Camp. Watch for signup links to anything. Get involved. You'll get bored and quit otherwise.

Once you are POTUS will you consider giving me your five gold instead of donating it to a worthy cause or organization?

Going to go with the worthy cause. 😉

I’m disappointed, I wanted 5 gold 🙁

Judging from the interview and Cerb’s activity, Cerb appears to be a good candidate for POTUS. Although I do not endorse any candidate at the moment, hopefully all other candidates will be as qualified and active as Cerb.

Be sure to vote and subscribe, and vote my previous two articles as well if you are feeling generous. 🙂

Thank you for reading and be on the lookout for more interviews soon.
