I don’t know how many of you found out about Chat rooms, I heard about it today. Mainly out of mere curiosity, I joined Romania’s chat room and I spent some time there and George Lemnaru joined too. After several greetings, I asked a series of questions to find out details about the future of eRepublik and not only. Of course, I was not the only one to ask questions, but the answers received were pretty important. I won’t be specifying the names of those who asked the other questions, instead I’ll simply call all of them – “Questions” and “Answers”.

Here we go:

System: George Lemnaru has entered the room Romania National

Question (I) : ? When was the chat launched?
Answer (R) : Today

I : I didn’t know that it’s only for internal use....
R : It’s not, it’s some sort of prelaunch.

I : Will we be able to read somewhere how are we supposed to use it?
R : Next week we plan to announce in the Insider and we will start to promote it heavily. Until then, we’re testing it.

I : And can you use passwords for chat-rooms?
R : Yes, chat-rooms can use passwords for access.

I : When do you reckon (realistically) the new modules will appear (economic and military)?
R : In the second half of winter we will launch the economic and military modules. After that we will be focusing on the political module.

I : Concerning the text which appeared on the profile page (Chat rooms/No chat rooms)… Won’t another text be better? I’m saying this because personally I feel that this won’t determine the player to look for other chat-rooms; instead it will make him to wait for chat-rooms to appear on his profile.
R : Correct. What text should replace that one?

I : Something like... you don’t own a chat room – you can create a chat room HERE or you can enter HERE (sending you to the official chat-rooms of Romania)… Something to make the citizen realize that the text will change if he will create his own chat-room.
R: Yes, that’s a much accurate text!

I : There was also one thing about the matrimonial module, you know, family, the base component of society. eRepublik is quite selfish when it comes to that.
R : Well, we need (more) girls in eRepublik to launch the matrimonial module.

I : Were there talks about further developing the newspapers’ options? And if they were, when will we be seeing new options? I mentioned this because, as you can see, 90% of them are based on articles and surprisingly, newspapers’ options are the least developed,
R : Currently we don’t have any plans for major improvements to newspapers before launching the economic and political module, but any suggestions are welcomed.

I : Will we have a Romanian translated version of the site? And if we will, I can help you with translating.
R : 😁) Yes, but we are OK with the Romanian translation resources, as far as I’m concerned.

I : When will we have PvP?
R : In the military module, there will be PvP.

I : For now, you’ve only said when you reckon the launching of the economic and political module, you haven’t said anything about the military one.
R : Economic and military are both in one package, will be launched together.

I : I understand that you’ll be focusing on eRepublik for quite a long time from now on...
R : It all depends on what our citizens want us to implement. Everyone in the team is concentrating on eRepublik only and we have at least 2 more years to work on this project.

I : But it also matters when the new stuff will be implemented and I’m not saying this out of mischief.
R : Yes, it is very important.

I : Ahh… George one more thing... You must have noticed that currently Euphonix has more than 1.000.000 damage. Aren’t you considering the possibility of adding new ranks? If not ranks, at least Field Marshalls with one, two, three stars.
R : Yes, I’d like that to happen by the end of the year. It wouldn’t be that difficult but in the next few weeks each person in the team is overloaded with serious work.

I : One more question. Is eRepublik worth the effort? But honestly. Not for the community but for yourself, as a personal satisfaction.
R : 100% isn’t enough said. It’s the best project at which I could participate and I’m extremely honest.

I : Concerning those who used the scripts made to donate more than 10 units at a time, what measures will be taken? There are lots and lots of players who used such scripts.
R : The moderators team will decide.

flucian: Thank you for the interview.
George Lemnaru: It was my pleasure, flucian.
