Join the new world

This is the first in a small series of interviews with our CP candidates. I extended this to all candidates so if there is no interview with some of them it is because I have received no reply back. Lets get started!

1. You have been very critical of the vS administration for a long time now, yet you are now just challenging for CP. Why did you wait so long?

I needed to be sure to have the proper time to serve our country best. If I have ran earlier, I wouldn't be able to give it the atention and time, the job requires.

2. All of our candidates obviously want to see our nation back on the map, but in which way will you try to achieve this, diplomacy or through military means?

I prefer military, but that is impossible at the moment. We simply don't have enough firepower, funds and commited allies to get us free. Maybe we can free a region by force, but we are unable to hold it. So with that in mind, we have to try to find a solution in diplomacy. That will be also hard to accomplish as Poland seems determined to occupy our regions, but I will do my best to get this done and find a solution for our country. 3. Recently there has been an a new movement which would see us end our alliance with EDEN and find new allies. Would you push to leave EDEN and pursue new interests or remain in EDEN?

I am also disappointed in EDEN. I expected way more of being member of the Brotherhood. You may remember my Dear EDEN Brother articles ( http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/dear-eden-brothers-2123042/1/20 and http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/dear-eden-brothers1-2131761/1/20 )
But I will continue to make a stand for the smaller EDEN countries within EDEN, but I won't exclude to make new friends too.

4. If you could choose one word in which you would describe the way you would rule over the Netherlands, what word would it be?

6. In the past you have made it clear you wish to set up a ''Liberation Fund'' or something of the sort where a minimum amount of the budget must be payed into, would you continue championing this fund?

The cards have changed since I first announced my wishes for a 'Liberation Fund'. Based on the current situation, it's best to use diplomacy first. If that fails, I would be in favor for something like that, but maybe outside of the government budget and based on donations. But again, diplomacy first.

7. Our nation currently is suffering from a low population, what will you do to increase our numbers?

We really need a good Minister of Recruitment. I will contact the people who have recruitment medals on our forum. Those are the people who know how to recruit people. I hope to get one or more of them active enought to work on that ministry.

8. In your latest article as well you talked about giving more powers to State Secretaries, could you elaborate more on this?

One of the problems in a government is people who think they have enough time for the job, but fail in activity during their term. If that's the case we should active divide the work under the state secretaries, promote a state secretary to minister or appoint another minister.

9. And finally, you and the vS administration have butted heads a bit in the past however is there anything that you have liked from his administration that you would like to continue on with.

As you can read I won't try to fix things that aint broken. I am not to proud to say when things are good too.

For example, I like the work on the Ministry of Finance. I really hope Weekstrom will be willing to be a Minister in my government. My plan is to pair him with a good state secretary, mainly responsible as spoke person (e.g. to write articles and first point of contact to Congress), so Weekstrom have more time for his work as Minister of Finance. Weekstrom already agreed to be the Minister of Finance when I get elected.

Also I think van Spijck is a great Minister of Foreign Affairs. He worked as at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in both of my previous governments and he is again my first candidate for the job.
