Interview With eIreland's Cp

Day 2,011, 12:01 Published in Ireland Ireland by Ian E CoIeman

May 23, 2013

I asked our current Cp to answer a few questions on our current situation and developments. Here you can see his answers to those questions.

Interview With Sir Adriano
1) With elections on the 5th of each month we've just crossed the halfway mark in your term, has it been what you expected?

Adriano: No, not really what I expected.

2) Despite talks we still haven't arrived at peace with the eUK at this point. Is it looking probable that we will achieve peace by the end of this term or have we hit a wall?

Adriano: Currently the UK has proposed a final peace deal which is being voted on in congress. I have very little faith that this deal will get through but the UK required me to propose this deal to congress before any further negotiations could happen.

3) There was an MU called MEK that made an appearance in your last address to the nation. Can you elaborate on their situation and what may be done to help them?

Adriano: Well MUFC and Marinko promised them to pay for the tanks that they used in the battle for Dublin on the 6th, and well they used a lot more than either Marinko or MUFC expected. MUFC and Marinko both have been fairly inactive as of recent and so haven't paid the debt, it is in no way a government debt and the government will not pay for it in any way. Adding onto that MUFC has been removed from office because of this large outstanding debt.

4) Even with the war looming over us, thoughts of alliances and our foreign affairs future are buzzing in the backs of our collective minds. Have any interesting possibilities or circumstances presented themselves?

Adriano: There have been a few discussions between many countries about the possibility of a new alliance, however these talks are very far from being concluded on leading to the formation of a new alliance so no specifics can be given at this time as the people trying to create the alliances don't want to promise something that doesn't exist.

5) Have the revolutionary wars that have been started through the month been in line with eIreland's defense strategy? What should the average citizen do to help fight for our freedom?

Adriano: The revolutionary wars were not started in line with the government view, Seanan said that we should not start the RW's until told to do so, this is to increase our chance of winning a RW and at the right time. Currently the order is for everyone to complete the daily order of their MU and to save the energy bars and bazookas they make from these DOs for when we launch a real RW.

eIrish News In A Nutshell

On Monday, May 21, eIreland was forced into our last chance RW before we were ready when eBritish agents paid to start the RW. Despite our best efforts to supply citizens and mercenaries with food and weapons - we lost that battle.

As a result of losing that battle we will not have a congress next month. Because of game mechanics time has run out to liberate a region in time for elections so we are now advised to save up our energy bars and supplies by completing the daily DO. At some time in the future a government organized RW will take place when we will be in our prime time and well supplied - make sure you're ready to take back eIreland when that day comes.

It is not advised to continue starting un-planned RWs... this doesn't do us much good and I suspect the eUK don't mind winning those battles either. In the meantime as you can read in the Cp interview, a proposal from the eUK's congress has been made to eIreland. Our congress are current voting on the offered peace, though it seems likely that the offered terms will be rejected by us.
