Interview with current president Civil Anarchy

Day 1,744, 08:49 Published in USA USA by Adam Pro

I meant to publish this article a few days ago with an interview with GloveisLove and Civil Anarchy but I only got Civil Anarchy to answer in time so here is the interview:

1. What are you expecting to accomplish during your week in office?

Well, the primary reason I was put in office was to get the eUS out of the 4FUN alliance. That was already successful, so the remainder of my term will consist of patching the holes that Glove left, and maintaining an active cabinet. We have a few side goals, such as the signing of treaties to end conflict, as well as attempting to liberate pakistan in Balochistan, which very well may take up the remainder of the term. Overall, you can’t do much with a little over a week.

2. What was the best thing you did before becoming PotUS?

2. Probably helping create and maintain eNPR. It’s one of the only things that I can say I had a direct hand in creating, since I was the original producer. I watched an idea turn into a recurring program, that’s survived 13 separate Presidential terms. It just gives me a little bit of pride when I can point to something and say, “That’s around because I put my dedication into it.”

(I will put the link of eNPR at the end of the interview)

3. Who do you think is the best eUS President of all-time and why?

3. I personally thought Cerb was the best President that I’d seen. A president doesn’t have to be an overbearing personality, or a heavily experienced politician. The best Presidents are the ones that are able to bring out the best in the people around them, and work to make a cabinet operate at 110%. Cerb was one of the best Presidents at doing that. At motivating his people to do good work, and to do it often. It’s the model that I base my own philosophy on. There are plenty of other people that followed this idea, like Israel Stevens and Artela, but I think Cerb did it the best.

4. What is your favorite aspect of eRepublik? (media, politics, economy, etc.)

4. I’m a Media guy. I’ve always relied on my writing skills, and my ability to talk to get by around here. Media really is the great equalizer of eRepublik. If you want to be a good politician, you have to put in the months of work, and you have to spend countless hours preparing yourself. You really can’t be great in the military without spending literal years in the module, training and fighting daily (And buying gold here and there). Media is different. If you’re a strong writer, and you offer something unique, you can be famous in Media within the first few days of playing eRep. Plus, I like the attention, so media suits me pretty well.

5. How do you feel about relations with UK, Hungary, and Serbia? (I support UK because they are our RL friends but hate Serbia and Hungary)

5. I have never, nor will I ever, support an alliance with Serbia or Hungary. They’re our oldest enemies in the game, and I don’t trust them as far as I could throw them. I’ve watched Serbia use and abuse friend and foe alike over the years, and I would never put us in a position where we would have to rely on them. The UK is an interesting situation. They’ve got a lot of cool people, but a lot of Americans harbor negative feelings toward them due to a betrayal quite some time ago. As far as being allied to them goes, we’re really not in a good position to do it. They’ve got a negative relationship to France, as well as conflicting MPPs. So the situation pushes us into being enemies with them.

6. What are you going to do after leaving office

6. I’m going to go to college. I leave on the 4th of September, so I won’t be seeking another term. Likely I’ll still be in eRepublik, but won’t be able to offer the same level of activity I have before, nor the amount that would be expected of a President. I would never take a position if I didn’t know that I could perform.

7. Is there anything else you would like to say to the American people, to the readers of National Unity Party news, or to myself?

7. To you, I suppose. Right now, you’re doing America a favor. You’re helping keep media alive by doing these sorts of things. And as I mentioned before, Media is the great equalizer here. It’s up to prolific, dedicated, and enthusiastic writers like yourself to keep it alive. So carry on, comrade, and good luck with your eLife.
