Day 744, 14:10 Published in Romania Romania by Boss Da Boss
Hello people!

Last days have been so boring for me... so even if the relations between eRomania and eHungary are heavy, I appreciate Quicksilver very much. So i asked her if she want to participate on a interview, and she accepted... the result you can find it below. I hope you will enjoy this and VOTE & SUBSCRIBE!

Question: Something about you? how did you find this game?
Answer: I am 42, I work at home, so I have plenty of time to have a laptop open with a browser open. I read a lot of blogs, and on one of them, I saw the blogger describing a game called erepublik. I was interested and asked invitation - the rest is history now. 🙂

Question: How was the game at first sight? Did someone help you out to understand this game?
Answer: I registered to Romania, to an occupied region, SGP. I understood nothing as I speak no Romanian, and wiki, newspapers were not much help either, and I did not know about the Hungarian chat either. So, I had a pretty awful first few days, before my inviter saved me from there by sending tickets. But even afterwards, I learned the game by myself.

Question: How did you become so read on Hungarian and international press?
Answer: From the first moment I read the press in Hungary and internationally. I never refrained from voicing my opinion even as a noob - and it made people notice me. When I got my paper, the Legendarium, I started to write my stories, the ones about the Lonely Soldier, who is a bit of me, a bit of imagination, and whom showed what happened on erep from a completely new viewpoint and in an absolutely unique style. It quickly got me a readership, which grew all the time, even when I talked about diverse things, not only through my stories. It helped that from the very beginning I wrote my articles in English too - actually, I mostly write them in English first and translate them to Hungarian later.

Question: I understand you were erepublik moderator. How did you like the game before becoming moderator and how do you like it now? have you ever given a warn to a Hungarian or Romanian?
Answer: I used to be an erepublik moderator. When I was asked to become one, back in May, I was just looking for new goals in the game, having achieved almost everything - so the translation and the moderation seemed to be new challenges. As moderator, I saw the game from a wholly new viewpoint - not only the tools that show more than what a player sees about others, but the position of power over others is a dangerous thing. I slowly gave up my erep career, as it became clear that from the position of power it is unwise to take part in a country's political life. I am not sure how other moderators can handle that... and I think I had better not to analyze it either. Let it be on their conscience. I was often accused to both being biased for and against many groups, but I do have a clear conscience - I did the job to the best of my abilities. Yes, I have given warnings and bans to both Hungarians and Romanians. And many other nationalities.

Question: How did you feel when you were president, how much time were you spending online? Have you made any promises to the population? Did You keep your promises?
Answer: I loved to be president, because this game, especially back then with fewer people and worthless congresses, gives a lot of power and responsibility to a president. I was fortunate that I could spend a lot of time online during my term - sometimes 5-6-8 hours a day - it was partly the reason why I did not want to become president again, for it was really too much. Before the election, I promised to get back Hungary's original regions, and looking back I can tell that I achieved it - not in a strict sense of the word, for that honour belongs to my successors, but by achievig the index-boom I made it possible. I am satisfied with that. 🙂

Question: I guess you know that, our president, Alex Craciun has promised a war and I think we all know what war... What would you do if you were in his place?
Answer: I would attack. It is a game, and eRomania does have a good chance in the present situation to win a few regions, probably RW Helokitty. I do know you have good plans, you have plenty of gold to tank, plenty of allies to help with blocking and channelling damage, plenty of experience to divide the Hungarian public and the inexperienced government. Of course we all know that you could not keep any conquered regions, but taking away Helokitty would be a great loss to Hungary. Of course we know that you know it. 😃

Question: What do you think about the situation Romania vs. Hungary? do you think we will have an opened war in the coming months?
Answer: It is at an impasse. Neither side dares to attack, but both wants to. I think there will be a war in the next month at the latest... life rarely lets the suspension draw out for so long and there will be something to break this patt-situation. An accident, a bug, a twist of fortune, whatever... but I do not think that any president will push the red button intentionally and calculatedly. It will be more an accidental thing.

Question: You recently reached a year in this game,do you have companies? What do you think about the eRepublik economy?
Answer: I used to have companies, but economy really does not interest me a lot. erep economy is characterised by oversimplification and overproduction - both must be solved soon, because the epic wars that consume a lot of weapons and gold are fewer than they used to be.

Question: You recruited a lot of people in the game and only 260 have passed level 6, i'm curious to find out how many people were enrolled in the beginning? How have you convinced them to join eRepublik? Is this worth the time?
Answer: When the index-boom happened, there were no ref links that now make it easy to invite people. We had to send invitation letters to each who wanted to join. My invitees, whom gave me the 26 SB medals came mainly in later, smaller recruiting campaigns. The first baby boom... before it Hungary's population was around 1200. One week after the first index-boom (in February), we had 6000 people. The second index-boom came in April, and brought around 2-3000 people. By May, when we reconquered our regions, the population was around 15000. Many of this first wave came to free the country - this since became a recipe for getting a growth. It is a powerful force, a great inclination to play the game. As examples shown since, it is a better motivation than a simple role-play... the failure of the French baby-boom was a lesson to all I think.

Han Solo's question: when will you apologize in public because you made all eRomanians liars?
Answer: I did not make or call all eRomanians liars. I called a specific group liars, those who use lies in their propaganda articles. Han Solo is known to me to deliberately misunderstand my words - it has happened before, during the PTO of the eRMDP. And I have no intention to apologise from those that I think are using lies to flame and provoke.

Question: I see you have got permanent ban for the 3rd time, if I remember correctly. Will you try to get unbanned again? or will you come back with another account? Why have you got banned now, give us some details if you know and sure if you want.
Answer: No, I will not be unbanned, nor will I play erep even if it happens. I moved over to another similar game, to try my luck and skills in that brand new world. Anything is still possible there, like an alliance between Hungary and Romania. 🙂
The reason... well, it was Big Brother banning me for his revenge, and using a forum post as an excuse; you can check it it is still there:

Question: A tip for me and eRomania, if it's possible?
Answer: Be without fear in the face of your enemies. Be brave and upright that god may love thee. Speak the truth, even if it leads to your death. Safeguard the helpless, and do no wrong. That is your oath. /The creed and oath of a Knight from the movie: Kingdom of Heaven/
