Interview mit Elisa

Zeitgeschichten:

Hello Elisa,
can you tell us an frist something about you? What are you doing in the e-german goverment? How you came in this game. Why e-germany?

Elisa:

It's no secret that I live in Virginia, USA in real life. I chose to join eGermany because my real life parents are German. I started the game in Brandenburg. (and a note of interest: I took great amusement in helping Portugal invade Virginia 😃 )
The way I found this game is actually a bit of a funny story! I work as a computer programmer, making background code for websites. On one of the websites I was working on I noticed a google-ad for erepublik. I usually never click such ads, but I was very curious and decided to justify clicking it by "needing to ensure the quality of the advertizements on my site". XD

Zeitgeschichten:

The situation in e-germany is a "little" bit dfficult for the moment. Your ideas for the future?

Elisa:

Ideas for the future? Well, obviously this PTO will have to be defeated. After that we can start re-building our economy and protect our territories with MPPs. It will not be easy but it will be done. There is something fundamentally different about eGermany from the other eNations. We have been destroyed more times than any other nation (at least, I can't think of another atm), but every time we come back stronger than before, this case is no different.

Zeitgeschichten:

Everybody knows, tah you want to be the next e-german president. What you can make better than Gobba?

Elisa:

Everybody knows? haha. First of all, it's important to know that this question isn't easy to answer since I have, as minister of foreign affairs and newly vice-president, been involved in almost every major decision the government has made in the past 3,5 months!
To answer your question, I believe I will have a stronger foreign policy, but beyond that I will only say that both Starkad and Gobba seemed to get pretty inactive after the second month, it's about time for a small change in leadership!

Zeitgeschichten:

Your thoughts about the e-german foreign affairs? Should e-germany try to join PEACE? Who are the e-german allies of the near future?

Elisa:

To put it simply, yes I think Germany should join peace. Last month's congress also voted in favor of requesting membership in peace.
Canada is a complication. From what their mofa has said to me, doesn't care that much if we join peace. However it remains to be seen if we can continue to be friends with them while they make MPPs with Sweden and Poland...

I am also very glad to report that we have many allies at the moment! 😃 France Hungary and Italy all played a direct role in Germany's liberation, with them I have found great allies and friends.
I made it a personal priority to improve our relations with Austria. Right now I would certainly call them an ally.
Serbia, UK, United Netherlands, and Russia have also proven themselves to be great allies for their willingness to help us in various issues.
There are many more, but my words are quickly forming a wall of text, so I will stop there. 😛

Zeitgeschichten:

Do you see any perespektive to get normal relationships with e-poland and a shweden? What do you think about a emabargo against these countries?

Elisa:

With Poland, maybe. It's not clear how much their government really hates us, however the POG (a private militant group in Poland) appears to have much more power than the government! This could make normal relations impossible, but there is a small chance, that sometime in the future it could be possible. When the POG loses power and a respectful president is elected.
With Sweden, there is no way. Mostly because at one point we did decide to forgive them for the previous 2 invasions and trust them. Little did we know that our government was filled with Swedish spies and they had already made plans for betraying us once we ruined our relations with PEACE!
For 6 months they saved up gold, sent in infiltrators to work their way into our government. It was something only an enemy hell-bent on destroying you would do.
Perhaps we can avoid another war, but I don't think I can ever trust them. Not again.

As for an embargo, I did at one point think we should embargo them. But that is an unnecessay provocation and it would hurt our economy.

Zeitgeschichten:

Can you tell us about your plans for the e-german babyboom?

Elisa:

The baby boom plans have unfortunately been put on hold, because of the minimum wage issue and with Hungary in control of some of our regions, it is simply a bad time for a baby boom.
The last thing we want is to get dead babies! 😛
