International Population (Presidential Elections)

(tl;dr: There is none. It is only deceptively large.)
gday eAustralia,
Today, I type this article as a form of musing. I hope to create clarity for the next articles I plan to write. I am ignoring the alliance structures because they are in flux regularly enough that it is truely irrelevant in the grand scheme of this game. What does matter is a country's personal power and prestige. And the most obvious aspect of power in this game is military power.
Countries can be divided into four categories:
Superpower
Great Power
Minor Power
Everyone Else
The following data is claimed from the last Presidential Elections. Also, bolded countries are those that have been involved recently in our region as allies or as enemies
Superpowers
Serbia 2922
Poland 2111
Hungary 1571
Argentina 1569
Romania 1495
Bulgaria 1286
Espana 1351
Greece 1194
Turkey 1091
USA 1046
A superpower can be considered the ultimate countries in the game. They have the highest populations and the greatest military power. Another criteria can be seen in that all ten are at a thousand total citizens. Eight of the ten nations are located in Europe, six of which are in the Balkans. Argentina and USA are in the Americas
Great Powers
Chile 985*
Croatia 877
Brasil 686
Ukraine 673
France 663
Russia 652
Slovenia 578
FYROM (MKD) 566
Portugal 544
China 522
The next ten on this list are what I call Great Powers. They are very strong nations which have a variety of population numbers. Many of these nations became great powers due to bordering hostile superpowers either in the present or in the past. This was done for the sake of survival and the ability to have fun in this game without being constantly wiped. This is where I believe eAustralia's potential is located.
Minor Powers
Indonesia 516*
UK 486
Italy 459
IRAN 445
Germany 412
Lithuania 374
ROC (Taiwan) 369
Mexico 349
Canada 338
Finland 328
These nations share a relatively unique position in this game. They are neither like the Great Powers above them or the middling countries below them. None of them do not have the power to create their own empires without the support of a Great Power or Superpower patron, but they have the potential to escape their position and become Great Powers themselves.
For everyone else, they can be divided into four tiers of strength and power:
Average
Below Average (Us)
Small
Smallest
As can be seen most of these nation's strength comes from either average to the weakest countries in the game.
Average Tier
Colombia 319
Albania 310
Venezuela 296
Bosnia and Herzegovina 277
Japan 234
Peru 233
Sweden 211
Belarus 210
Netherlands 166
Below Average Tier
South Africa 150
Ireland 145
Moldovia 144
India 141
South Korea 139
Australia 138
Latvia 136
Uruguay 135
Bolivia 123
Pakistan 120
Small Tier
Montenegro 118
Estonia 116
Israel 110
Cyprus 106
Belgium 105
Egypt 104
New Zealand 101
Austria 95
Paraguay 82
Thailand 74
Smallest Countries
Czech Republic/Slovakia 71
North Korea 70
Switzerland 67
Philippines 66
Malaysia 64
Norway 45
UAE 42
Denmark 36
Saudi Arabia 32
Singapore 25

Interesting stuff to read.
Are you running for senator
Likely not.
You"ll be great senator Marcos, please put yourself as candidate for senate?.It"s shame that you wont be a senator.
i wouldnt use the power indicator as a judge of how strong a nation is, for instance if poland attacked a great power then they would lose their regions and have nothing being considered part of everyone else due to how the power system works.
there are a few nations out of place in this system because they output damage higher than what they rank due to the size of their opponents

You are being just a bit pretentious there Marcos
I suspect I know where you are going with this (I hope not), but I would like you to come out & state it clearly.
It is not as straightforward as you have set out - as Tim Holtz has indicated.
There are other factors as well
Of course there are. I intentionally ignored alliances of all kinds just to focus on personal military power and population. This is an aspect of eRepublik that is not often explored due to the heavy focus on the alliances. That the list also fluctuates does not make this a completely reliable list.
But on the basis of focusing on separate nations, this list is reliable when referring to separate nations and their potential/realised capacity.
I apologise if I appeared a tad pretentious. It was not my intent to do so. I only wished to emphasize that this will be important for my next article which will be released after this vanishes from the articles. However, the subject of the article can be inferred from things I have said in the past.
but this article didnt focus on "personal military power" or "population"
look at France, they have 663 points
now Indonesia 516
in no way shape or form is France larger than Indonesia in military power or population
infact Indonesia is significantly stronger because not only does Indonesia do almost double France in daily damage output but Indonesia has better bonuses due to actively owning regions from two separate countries. not to mention the higher number of citizens Indonesia has especially in daily fighters (about 100 extra fighters daily)
what France has is more core regions, a key influence of power in this system is how many regions you own.
A citizen is a point? Country Power is not a full expression of military power. It only signifies how many regions a country is currently in possession of. For example, ROC would be considered a minor power under this system. That they control as much territory as they do is due to eC/ROC being joined together closely. A more detailed account of this would show what you are saying. I acknowledge what you say, but my focus was to list it by voters in Presidential elections. I intentionally ignored everything else as I have mentioned multiple times.
Great article Marcos!!.Keep going on!!.Voted,shouted,subed!!!.
