Inner Strength

Day 1,840, 11:18 Published in Germany Belgium by Konrad Neumann

You can all this naive or silly. You can dismiss this as propaganda etc, but I think Germany is strong. I think eNetherlands and eBelgium is strong. I am not interested in talking about RL crap or the desire for some German Reich that spreads all over eEurope etc. For I personally view military strength as hollow and uninteresting. For thugs and bullies are great? If greatness is that of hard power, I surely do not want to be great. I am proud and happy to be eGerman, eDutch, or eBelgian but never an ePole. I do not dislike the Poles in RL etc but empire building for me is boring. I know this is a war game and I do not mine eWars, but even with hard power, there are aspects of decency that must be respected. No, I tend to not care about the military all that much. Clicking fight a few times has its limits for me. Physical is an poor indicator on actual strength which is always within and not without.

There is an American foreign policy saying in that "Politics ends at the water's edge." This means the projection of American policy towards the world should be viewed as an unified policy and when it is beyond the doors of the congress, the nation will back it. While it is not all that realistic, the ideal remains and holds true on strong countries. The health and bonds within the community is the true strength that one should measure.

When I look at eBelgium, I say it is one of the strongest countries in the game. While it is weaker now than before due to some internal conflicts, the community is less like other eCountries but more like a family. It has the benefits of a family unit as well as the disadvantages but overall it is really close to an intimate party. The parties of eBE today for the most part are the same. I really cannot tell the difference between parties in terms of policies. While there are some differences, overall it is the same. I think the Belgians understands that they are not a country of military strength and this is why they invest so much of its resources to its people. At one point in eBE history, they gave 20 q7 tanks plus 20 high quality food to its citizens each day. (if they work in the state commune and ask for the citizen's package) Depending on which side of politics you follow in eBE, they are willing to spend themselves bankrupt to invest in the strength of the community. This is evident many times in eBE in which pragmatism trumped by other people's feelings/ unity of the community. While there are exceptions like Shadow who behaves more like citizens of other countries, they place everything for the community. So even now with many Belgians in eUK, ePoland, etc. They are still really active in the Belgian forums and IRC. While they are not voting for congress, they are still around as if they did not leave.

eGermany is also strong. I think we have a really healthy community that rivals many others. Despite a greater difference in political parties and ideologies, most people are compassionate and kind. I have witness many times that when the times get tough, the community does not run away from each other but towards each other to resolve problems etc. With the recent "controversy" on what eGerman strength is, the community as a whole stand united against bring real life elements into this game. The Germark union while it has bumps in the road remains strong. Cooperation and not dictation very evident as common interest creates a bond that is stronger than the old UNL in which the Dutch and the Belgians contest internally for power. I see a lot of cooperation in party politics now as many Germans are writing in English so non-speakers like myself can have an easier time in eGermany now. It is surely not easy for most eGermans as it would be easier for them to communicate in German, but they are willing to do what is less convenient for the sake of the community.

I think it is safe to say that most people that remains in eGermany are not interested in military conquest and military strength. If they are, they are in the wrong place. eGermany is not an ideal place for WWII and German nationalism role play. If you are looking for that, you will surely be disappointed. For there are many kinds of strength and power. One can always focus on the hollow nature of hard power and strength. But real strength is from within. Countries that might have hard power might be weak from within. Like the Third Swedish invasion of Germany, the Swedish community was in decline. People are losing interest and people are quitting etc. The Swedish CP used hard power to salvage internal unity and strength. This is true with the Dec 2010 German-Polish war in which the Polish CP united and fixed many Polish internal issues with the war.

So I say, Germany is pretty strong. We are working well with each other and the state of our community is robust. We are not a country of military strength and we will never be. Instead we have inner strength and we never went to war to fix domestic problems. We are not so divided internally like that of the Swiss when Clifford Burns was active. I think we are a strong country because while our community is diverse, it is still cooperating really well. Whereas the "communist/ Libertad" in Belgian is an disruptive force when they are active, the KPeD/ SPeD are a source of strength in the German community. This is who we are and we should be proud of it. This is what makes eGermany, eGermany. I think this article is an celebration on what real eGermany is and not that of the stereotype Germany with AUCHTUNG ACHTUNG!!!, etc. The German colors of Black, Red, and Gold which some people likes to use is not that of hard power but of tolerance, open mindedness, and unity of our community. I will gladly wave the German flag not for hard power or empire building but for the celebration of cooperation and the friendship and kindness of the community. Germany is as great as the friendships within the community and this is why I think Germany is great. Not of hard power or land bonuses, I am here in Germany because of friends. I am sure most of you are here for friends and the community as well. It is always about the inner strength and playing on the common saying, "It is the community, stupid!!!"
