Indrae for Rhode Island

Day 668, 18:09 Published in USA USA by Indrae

Hello readers,

Today I will be taking a break from bringing you international news, in order to announce my intention to run for Congress in the great state of Rhode Island. Now, I can imagine that some of you are wondering who exactly I am. Well, I joined the game about a month and a half ago, and have recently been working with the Citizens Task Force (CTF). If any of you don’t know what the CTF is, it reviews citizenship requests from those interested in becoming a citizen of this great nation.

For the rest of this article, I will be outlining my positions on several important issues.

The War
The current war our country is fighting against PEACE started before I joined eRepublik. It has no doubt demoralized a great many of us, having at one point lost all states besides Florida. I’m aware that Congress does not have a whole lot of say about how we fight this war. This is relieving to me, as I cannot claim to be a great military strategist. I do hope that once this war is over (and it will end, be it sooner or later), we can take steps to ensure that our country is never invaded on such a grand scale again.

Taxes
While I would like our citizens to not have to pay high taxes, in a game like this, and in a time of war, they are simply unavoidable.

Education
There is nothing more vital to our country’s survival than the education of our newer citizens. There’s no telling how some battles would have turned out if newer players would have had someone helping them to figure out what to do, or if two-clickers and a few ignorant players would have listened to DoD orders. While I do believe that we have some very dedicated players trying to help the situation, there is always a need to find even more volunteers. It is important to help new players understand the game mechanics, how we can use them to our advantage, and how they can help out their beloved country.

Citizenship
If there is one thing I have learned in my time with the CTF, it is that there is no shortage of foreigners wanting eAmerican citizenship. What I believe is important to our survival as a nation however, is keeping the citizens we have motivated and to have them become involved in the wonderful eAmerican community.

If any of you Rhode Islanders have any questions regarding any other views of mine, feel free to contact me in game. I hope that you will give me the opportunity to represent you in Congress.
