Unless one of the many and varied eRep pretendy Gods intercedes pretty sharpish I’m rather sad to announce that in the next day or so Andy Millward will have passed on as a character in the ‘new world’ Luckily I believe his RL owner (also imaginatively named Andy Millward) is hail and hearty.

When I was a noob of the lowest kind Andy was an understrapper and bag carrier in one or other or the ministries who were running Government companies. He kindly invited me to work there and after having guided me through growth of a couple of experience levels promptly sacked me. Still being a noob I was of course offended but later found out that it was his ‘job’.

Andy was also instrumental in introducing me to the forums and IRC and once I had reached the appropriate level of experience guided to the then safe harbour of RFA membership.

As a player and party colleague Andy as always considerate, good humoured and well mannered. He was always constructive in his criticism and loyal to his friends. He was also an acute and original thinker (other than the bizarre Gaga obsession) and was for several months one of the central and outstanding members of the RFA.

It is a rather sad symmetry that his ‘passing’ has so closely coincided with that of the party he was a key member of. Although perhaps in a way one may well have been a small contributory factor to the other.
