In Defense Of The eUK

Day 1,234, 11:20 Published in Canada Canada by Acacia Mason

For those who feel the need to check the weather forecast, NO, Hell did not freeze over this morning. I really am writing an article in support of the eUK. Though I have a history of being one who would sooner conquer the eUK then support them, times are changing and my attitude towards the eUK has changed with it.

Recent MPP signings by the eUK have a few people’s panties all up in a bunch. Is it suspect? maybe. Is it a sign of a forthcoming backstab? maybe. For now though, it is just what it is...an MPP signing. I know many will point to the history they eUK has of backstabbing. We must remember though that it is just that...history. Leaders and rainmakers change in every nation. What used to occur may not be the standard today. Should we really be gunning for Mr Woldy when nothing has materialized just yet? I think not.

Lets consider that we are currently stradling two alliances in Terra and EDEN. If we were to outright Acacia the button on the eUK, we would essentially be attacking an ally and that in turn would very likely lead to us being ostracized by Terra. It would leave us alone and in the cold and a prime target for NWO.

Lets also consider who is currently pushing the buttons in eCanada. In Jacobi we have the most experienced CP we have ever had. Rest assured that if he feels there is a real reason to Acacia the button...you can be darn sure he will do it. I have every faith in his vision and his decision making process. Until he thinks the eUK is an imminent threat, I will continue to support them as an ally and continue to be friendly towards them.

I know that we are all sitting back and watching some of our largest allies slowly get wiped from the map. Its frustrating, and the beastly alliance that is NWO is certainly making its presence on the world stage felt. Paranoia WILL start to set in as the threat gets closer to home. That same paranoia will magnify events like the eUK MPP signings. We must guard against reading too much into it. Place your trust in the Executive and let Jacobi and his team do what they were elected to do.

Rest assured though eCanada, as I begin to think about running for CP in May, It is not lost on me that a potential war with the eUK could very well fall within my term. If that is to be the case, and history repeats itself, how poetic it would be to find myself once again having the chance to Acacia the button and beginning our march to London once again. For now however, we wait, watch, and let Jacobi do what we elected him to do.

Yours In National Unity,
