In Defense of America

Our great nation faces challenges that I have not seen since World War 3. War rages in the eUS as we are under siege by forces both foreign and domestic. Even amongst ourselves, we squabble pitting politicians versus military. Our economy is tattered, due to various admin “improvements”. PANAM stands on shaky ground.

When Harrison Richardson asked me to be his Secretary of Defense, I had to ask why? HR explained, how he envisioned the SoD role in his cabinet. The SoD would be involved in both strategic planning, but equally as important, in improving the strained relations between the exec/congress and JCS. To me, this is absolutely crucial during this difficult time in our nation. With a new war just beginning and internal PTO threats abound, we cannot have an adversarial relationship between our executive branch and our military.

Some may say that Harrison Richardson is partially responsible for the combative relationship between POTUS and CJCS. During the time the infamous POTUS/CJCS showdown occurred, I was not actively involved at the game (V2) and therefore cannot comment specifically. Make no mistake however, I do consider NXNW, CJCS at that time, a mentor and one of my closest friends in this game. This was not a surprise to HR and he stated that, that was one of the primary reasons he wanted me to be his SoD, knowing that I had good relations with all the parties involved - political and military.

HR approached me directly and asked me to help him improve the relationship between the exec and JCS. I would not agree to this if I felt HR were simply pandering for military (or USWP) votes or merely hoping that I can get the JCS “into line” on his behalf. After my conversations with HR, I genuinely felt that he was sincerely hoping to have a better relationship with JCS than in the past and was asking for my help. I am compelled to do whatever I can to help make this happen for the good of our country.

I have known Harrison Richardson since my first days on eRep and he has always been friendly and approachable. Even when I was a newb and he was POTUS, he would patiently and intelligently answer any and all questions and/or PM’s I threw his way. He has always treated me personally with absolute respect and decency. If elected, I hope to repay HR’s confidence and trust by helping some of our nations greatest leaders, both political and military, build a stronger foundation of cooperation and communication at a time when it is most desperately needed.
