Imperial Sun Party Platform, September 2009
Imperial Sun Party
The Answer is the ISP, of course!
Military Affairs
-The Imperial Sun Party has long stood for a robust military to defend our home islands and help our allies in defending their regions, too. I am happy to report that we are making good progress in this area:
-I expect to have at least one or two eJapanese field marshals by the end of October with many more in the following month.
-eJapan now has some of the cheapest Q1 weapons prices in the world.
-ISP-supported legislation enabled government-supported iron companies to contribute some of the world's lowest-priced iron to our weapon's manufacturers
-The ISP is currently supporting the legislative initiative to create a Q5 weapons company as well as secure highly-skilled workers for the company. eJapanese soldiers should have the best weapons possible available for them in a stockpile!

"Who is doing what and why is that happening?"
Good Governance
The Imperial Sun Party stands for open debate and clear decision-making processes. We identify who is making the decisions, who controls the organizations and the donations, who benefits. If you join the party, you can access ALL of the Imperial Sun Party national forums where the decisions are made. Want to see why the ISP supported Minamoto in the previous election? It's there, and party members can voice their opinions and vote on it. Want to question the party leaders about party policy? Party members can do so there. Not all parties can claim this!
International Affairs
Many of you have probably been following the debates about "lending Kyushu to eIndo" so they can attack the eUSA again and "Theocratic eSouth Korea in Sol" so the Theocrats can participate in wargames. The Imperial Sun Party opposes both actions, for the following reasons:
-Although the Kyushu lending proposal is currently a moot point due to the MPP existing between eColombia and eIndonesia, all faithful eJapanese stand against this in principle. We spend much of our national treasury on building a military to defend the home islands first, and then help our allies. Allowing a foreign power to operate on our home territory is a major loss of face, and neither PEACE GC nor anyone else should expect us to do so.
-The Theocratic regime controlling eSouth Korean regions has not been recognized as a legitimate government because neither their seizure of power nor their methods of governance can be approved by any civilized society. A totalitarian regime employing repressive tax rates of 50%+ to crowd out non-state-controlled businesses should be opposed. The refusal to coordinate with the local eSouth Korean government in the first place was also an unfortunate power grab. Nevertheless, some in the Sol alliance, including Sol Vice Chairman Akki, are considering allowing the Theocrats to participate in the wargames. Against this appeasement of tyranny, we must dissent!
September Congressional Elections
The elections are coming up fast, and tomorrow another article with the official ISP candidate list will be posted. ISP voters interested in assisting their party are requested to vote at the last log-in and contact KITA Ikki or Metic for voting information.
KITA Ikki
President, Imperial Sun Party
Comments
Yay ISP! Boo Akki!
what's happened to the ISP's "promotion of the transparently" which you have so valiantly spoken on the comment of your previous article?
I find it sad that the ISP simply brags about how good it is, rather than humbly aiding Japan as it has in the past. The ISP does not need to show how much it does, it just needs to do it. The people will see on their own without it being shoved into their face.
Huh? What are you talking about, Tohru?
I see only plans for a bright future of Japan!
Glad we have the ISP in Japan, and KITA at its helm. Were I not committed to the order of Bushido, I'd quickly join them. Of course, Tohru, one who does well deserves to show it. That's why we build statues, hold ceremony, etc.
Always remember: Modesty is fine in small doses, but glory is always tasty.
"Always remember: Modesty is fine in small doses, but glory is always tasty."
Being haughty is never good for the health of the political system of an country my dear frog friend.
"all faithful eJapanese stand against this in principle."
Guess I'm not faithful despite my reasoning to protect japan... oh well.
well, the key words are in principle
Good luck to the ISP!
What the heck does "obrazek" mean?
its a word meaning error or something close to that
@Peter McGoon Ah yes, "obrazek" sometimes appears whenever a link or image in the article does not work. I re-hosted the picture, so hopefully that solves the problem.
@Faeyas As Dokomo mentioned, the key is "in principle." If you check the declassified Indonesia/Kyushu debate from early July, located here: http://nipponblog.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=477" target="_blank">http://nipponblog.net/forum/viewtopic.ph[..]=477
you can see that I reluctantly supported the deal at first, citing the geopolitical realities that Indonesia could squash us, then switched my vote to NO when Congressman Akki indicated that eJapan's status as "founding member of PEACE GC," etc. meant that we could refuse and PEACE would do nothing to us. Then PEACE started laying the foundation for an invasion ("annexation of eSK 'violated PEACE charter'"), and I switched my support back to YES when it was apparent I was right in the first place.
Now we are faced with yet another alliance that Akki is involved in--Sol--and this time it again breaks its own charter (by dealing with the Theocrats) and ignores the eJapanese people's wishes.
I understand that sometimes you do not get what you want, and eJapan is currently a small fish in a big lake, so we sometimes have to work with others and compromise. But there has been no real discussion about why Sol is doing this (and it is a Sol-organized wargames), and we are left to wonder if the naysayers are right about the Theocrats paying a bunch of gold to get what they want.
Where's the Sol media blitz trying to convince us or at least explain their actions? *THAT* is the kind of thing eJapanese want to see in government, and I think I described it in the "Good Governance" section of this article.
@Tohru I do not like to be boastful, as it is not the Japanese way, but this *is* the official ISP newspaper, and I should try to "rally the troops" before an election of sorts.
I would like to create an ISP organization that would have a party newspaper, and this could be transferred down from party president to party president, in the event that someone else challenges me and wins OR I step down for whatever reason. It would be nice to have an established newspaper for the party that everyone is already subscribed, too. It could run articles for our candidates who do not have their own newspapers, too.
Well spoken. Rather to be informed than not at all. I would rather see someone brag in the sun than plot in the shadows. Every citizen contributes in their own way, and in respect of their privacy they are not held accountable. A political party with distinct ambitions should be held accountable, which is precisely why it is important to keep citizens informed on its accomplishments and setbacks.
Communication keep us connected and allows for better judgment. It may also help to boost morale when there is an indication that a country is moving forward. Cabinet members and members of congress who refuse to share information with their constituents end up sowing seeds of doubt and mistrust; no one country or region should be anyone's private playground.
As a citizen of course I want to know more. How else am I supposed to find information? From the hidden threads on our forums? How are foreign ambassadors to do their jobs if they need permission to read general discussions? Citizens are not encouraged if things are always done behind their backs. They contribute to this country too, if not humbly so, and deserve to know.
We may not appreciate having things shoved in our face, but at the very least have something laid neatly on the table.
"obrazek" means "picture" in polish language.
I don't see the problem. I think this is a great article that sums up nicely what the ISP is all about.
Akki, what is the reason for your apparent need to recognize Theocratic SK with a training war?
because 4 of the Sol member nations that is actually part of Sol war games approves it, and eJapan isn't even part of the War game in the first place?
Yes, but WHY are they approving it? And yes, in a democratic, free-flow-of-information environment, explanations for this sort of thing are part of "being transparent."
When Sol member states agree to assist a group that is in clear violation of their charter in any way (wargames, donations, etc.), someone from Sol should be out there saying "this is why it is happening." Otherwise, the rumor mill starts, and people tend to think "it just about the money."
Of course, sometimes the "motive fallacy" is not a fallacy at all...
Thank you KITA.
Akki, I want to know why YOU approve of it. Because the other guys do? Because you're making money from it? Because you hate South Korea? Because you love South Korea and you think this helps them? Because it's Tuesday? What is it?
So, as long as Japan isn't directly involved in a thing means you don't need a reason to support or oppose it? Japan has next to nothing to do with South Africa but you won't see me ever doing anything to legitimize PTOs there either. This little war game might not involve Japan itself, but the grander issue of legitimizing a hostile PTO government on our borders most certainly does.
eSK has been closely tied to eJapan over the past months. They are us, and we are them. And then we work for weeks to release their lands so that they can self govern once more, only to have their hopes squashed by an outside group.
I read something I really agree with not long ago:
"Being haughty is never good for the health of the political system"
This rings true on very many levels, and this secrecy surrounding the SOL decision to permit Theocracy access to training wars strikes me as particularly haughty.
Theocracy is not the legitimate ruler of eSK, and eJapan and everyone entrusted with power in our nation should be doing anything in their power to fight against these PTOers. That includes speaking up when SOL acts contrary to our wishes and beliefs.
Akki is content with dismissing this atrocity with 3 lines of an excuse.
That is telling.
Very good article and if I wasn't a Godzilla fan I'd probably vote ISP.
Who are these Akki, Tohru and Makoto that always seem to moan and be negative? They just seem to complain and I see no media articles from them at all just negative comments in others. (except makotos recent spam onslaught of course!)
