IFP Press Release
Landis Kan
After a period of absence I’m back, many apologies, real life issues kept me away longer than I had planned.
The Irish Freedom Party (IFP), is aimed towards those who want to preserve the basics of life in eRepublik. We don’t want to dictate what you can and cannot do, this is your game.
We want for every member of eIreland to be able to be self sufficient, and able to sustain a level of life, and fun within the game. We want to reach out and assist people to train in areas where they want to go, and overall make eRepublik a lot more fun!
I would like to introduce incentives to have everyone able to do multiple jobs, but at the same time not take a huge drop in wages. This would mean if the country has a food shortage, the government will cover any extra costs needed for each person to train in that area, for example, if you receive 3 IEP per day in Gifts, and eIreland needed food workers, you, so long as its agreed with the government, could swap to a Food company, the Food company would pay their standard wage, e.g., 1 IEP per day, the government would then cover the extra 2 IEP. This will mean we will have a very educated nation that is very flexible in terms of work.
With the above idea, we can also help remove unemployment, there would be no reason for anyone to be unemployed in eIreland, as you can be training at all times in other areas without having to affect your way of life.
I would also like to bring forward more Housing and Gifts, there is a very large gap in the market in eIreland has recent days have seen. The wellness of every person in eIreland is very important, and its also very important we address this asap. Brining in new companies, imports from other countries, and using again the training scheme to fill the gap in the market would be how I would solve these issues.
I would also like to strengthen our economy by trying to bring in more friendly trade from companies outside of eIreland, who are also allied with us. This will allow us to be more competitive with prices, and also stockpile anything which is needed, like food and weapons.
If anyone has any questions or would like to make a few suggestions, feel free to drop me a mail. I will be publishing a full manifesto for this party over the weekend, as I have lots of ideas to build and improve upon in eIreland.

Hey Landis. Nice Idea about people training for multiple jobs. While I would not recommend doing this en masse there are Many citizens specialised in just one field. Training a skill up to 3.0 lasts around 15 days and I believe this is something we should aim for. It would be in benefit to both the county\'s economy as the workforce would be mobile not only within but also between domains, but also for the citizens who in case their domain has too many workers wouldn\'t need to start a new jobs from the lowest salary.
Personally i feel its a much better option to invest in people, rather than subsidize everything.
Personally i wouldnt expect everyone to want to train in all areas, I would have to see if people were intrested in this idea first, and then find q1 companys to train in each area.
But hey, probably a long long way to go before i can do any of this... need a few more people in my party for a few more votes i think 😉
Definitely we would not want to weaken any domain by having large amount of people training while production is at halt. However if there is interest in such program I see no reason not to invest in people.
As for subsidies they are our way of slowing the inflation process. Ireland is small and doesn\'t have large bonuses to efficiency from number of workers and this needs to be countered.
As I said if there is will amongst the people of Ireland FAS Facilities will start re-education program ASAP.
i think thats a good idea.
Every time you requested I have offered jobs to the people you pointed as such. I also check the HR every now and then and offer FAS jobs to newcomers. They are informed about the purpose of FAS etc. Very few decide to use it.
