IFD: eIsrael, we need you opinion, right here, right now!!!
Israel Ministry of Finance
Dear citizens,
At our last attempt to attract here more people, and to gain more strengh to this country,
We made our currency stronger as twice as it was.
But we felt now, after looking at our condition, that we are not ready to this.
Yes, we thought it would be easier for you if we will double your currency worth, but from the other side,
It will ruin the Grain industry without our help, and the people seems be cutting the workers wages, what we did not expect.
We tried to be ready, turkey will attack, they will try thier luck, we are almost sure about that.
Therefore we need before the "PEACE TIME" is over, to get D.S Q5, and Hospital Q5, in order to defend our country.
Our plan was to get enough people and gold by raising the salaries ourselvs, without to demend you to pay more, but it seemed by now that non of the manages is doing so,
and it wont help us.
As an attempt to insure our survival for now, we would like to ask all of you, if you think we should return the value of the NIS to what it was before, 50 NIS= 1 Gold.
If we will do so, we will need our citizens help, Your help!
We need to fund those Q5 Defence System and Hospital, we wont be able to do it now without donation from you, sad as it is.
If we want to be ready, if we want to survive, if we want to have noraml economy, we should have the NIS standing at 50 NIS per 1 Gold, but we will need your help.
We have about 200 citizens at eIsrael, if each one at average will donate 2 gold, we will be able to save this country and make it a lot better, but it depends if you will be willing to open your pockets and donate some amount of gold to your country.
We would like to hear from our citizens what do you think about it.
Regards, IFD.
The donation should go to our Military org: please read the following article: http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/-buzzythecat-donations-for-the-israel-defense-forces-752027/1/20
Thank you very much!

if for once you'd think of the consequences of your acts before doing them...
changing the currency value so many times in less than 2 days is just plain stupid. your only hurting the economy that way.
It doesn't matter how much the NIS is worth compare to the gold.
The important thing is that he will be stable.
You should choose between two things. High wages or cheap products in the market. If the wages will be high it mean that it will be more expensive to make products and their price at the market will be high. On the contrary if the wages will be low the prices at the market will be low too.
The citizens can enjoy from high wages or from cheap products.
although if we will have imported products the citizens could enjoy from cheaper products. Another option is to export and this way the companies will be able to make more money and pay more.
Another thing is don't compare the RL to what is going here, because the value of currency is RL is working in a totally different way.
It wont be changed anymore
I agree with swifty - now that the currency has been moved, let it stay there - the important thing is to maintain stability.
On the need for funds - I am aware that a foreign government has offered a loan - perhaps we need to look favourably upon such opportunities?

"As an attempt to insure our survival for now, we would like to ask all of you, if you think we should return the value of the NIS to what it was before, 50 NIS= 1 Gold."
What do you mean you are asking us if we think you should do it? You've already gone and done it! Meaningful consultation happens BEFORE you ask our opinions, not AFTER the decision is made!
they got PM's i belive 😃
It may actually be best to let the market decide the value of the NIS, not that the government should stay out of the NIS market entirely, but remain as an investor rather than a regulator. As a large investor, you will still have a stabilizing effect on the NIS value but the value will be able to go to where it will be best for the economy without having to figure it out ourselves.
If we need a cheaper shekel, demand will decrease and we'll get it; if we begin exporting houses or guns or something, and demand for NIS increases, so will it's value.
It's not that the market is smarter, it's just bigger and more flexible, and follows economic laws to the letter as dozens, hundreds, or even thousands of small economic votes are cast to determine the best value for each hour.
I appreciate your continued optimism and energy Sadeh Badeh in the face of sometimes harsh criticism. As I've said before, I think the primary role of the president is to be a lightning rod for government criticism, and the fact that you've taken the role of treasurer as well amplifies this effect. I believe you are doing your best and so are your critics and advisors.
We all have the same goal, a strong and independent Israel; an achievable goal as we continue to work together.
Thank you mate, we brought the market to a point that from now on it will work fine, there is not a lot of NIS at the market (3k or 4k) and thats made me calculate that in week or two from now, the NIS at the free market will double itself.
I hope we will manage.

I see the point on the cutting of workers salaries. This has been a huge cut to me in the past week, and I have been worried for a while that I would stop making enough money, but recently, I came into a larger salary, and luckily, I can fare better now.
