IA PP affraid of political transparency?

Day 1,708, 03:17 Published in USA Sweden by Locutus

Earlier today a read a post on the eSA national forums. It was several questions from a concerned member of Independent Alternative, eSA´s largest political party. Here´s what was questione😛

What happened to IA?

I'm a bit confused lately. I see articles going up and our PP reply to it without even consulting the members of IA. What bothers me most is that its an everyone for himself sort of situation in IA. Even the articles going up defending IA is like piddling in a chamber pot. Not worth anything really as no one other than the author had any knowledge beforehand of what he is going to write. Most of the articles being posted, read about the same, not a lot of variation from one author to another and it has been noticed by some of the other parties.

When last have our PP looked at our mission statement? We stand for most of what the DB-PF stand for, maybe not in the same way, yet our PP say he can't agree with it?

What happened to the interaction between our members? I know that I have been relatively inactive, but I have rl problems almost everyone knows about, but the rest of our members and our PP? Where are you, whats happening in the party, is it still worth it to be here in IA or have we become so stagnant that we could just as well close the doors? The only communication I really see happening here is when there is an election on its way, oh, and for a while there was the drive to get more people in the party. Just to keep on saying we are the biggest party? Maybe, but have you taken some time and thought on our activity? We are not the most active party around any more, I think we are the most inactive party on the eSA map, but claims made state otherwise.

We have a channel or room on IRC and it is a little busy there when we have an election, the rest of the time it is relatively quiet. The last time I was there, I was so disgusted in what I found there, I would not go there anymore, and it has also opened my eyes to something that I thought I would not expect from members of IA. Players in that room or channel were organizing the start of the campaigns for the regions that we had to get back before the election. As you know the start of a campaign need 10 player to support the start and if you win, each of those 10 get 5 gold, but that was not all, they even organized who is going to go for each battle's Battle Hero. None of us who was not in the room that night really stood a chance of winning anything but for the few people in that room. Prominent members of IA took part that evening and I was totally disgusted. Yes, I did try for Battle Hero that night but was informed that someone in that room was also going for it, so I lost the BH. I would have gladly accepted losing to this person, if it was not for the fact of what was said to me that night.

Does something like that makes you feel welcome? I don't think so. Maybe I have become to old for IA. There are too many young players here who have their own way of doing things without considering other team members. Its not my way of doing things.

Either we stand as one or we don't stand at all.

And here´s what IA´s party president, Mad Johnson, answere😛

I will speak to you offline NN as this is NOT the place to discuss something like this.
Thank you

Reflections

Now, there´s a whole lot in this I find questionable. Why do IA get to decide who is going to start what RW and who is going to get the BH of any given battle? I find this outrageous! But this is not what I came here to discuss, I´m sure the people of eSA will let IA know how they feel about this come election day.

Transparency in IA?

So, what happened to the thread you ask? Well, apparently the concerned citizen stepped on someones toes as the thread was DELETED!? What´s up with that? Is Mad Johnson so affraid of transparency in his party that he feels the need to cencure his own members? Is this the kind of thing we want for eSA today? There´s a whole lot of other political parties in eSA if you feel this is a bit too much for you, just so you know.
