Following some comments regarding my candidacy yesterday, it was brought into question whether I had the security of the country at heart. In a moment of bad judgment, I declared that I will step down. Little did I realise the amount of support I had and that it was in fact a very bad judgment call influenced by someone who only has his own interests at heart. This had nothing to do with the security of the country. It had to do with jaccil trying to flex his political muscle. I thought he was speaking "for and on behalf of the people", but this turned out to be completely wrong. I should have stuck with my first instinct and ignored him - as I've been doing for the last few months. Truly, it does wonders for my sanity.
It is funny how the very guy who was upset with the security measures taken during the first congress elections of the 4th Republic and calls for democracy at every turn of the corner and is the first to mention oppression by the current government is also the one trying to oppress the democratic right of the citizens to choose their president. You almost got it right - close, but no cigar!
Cybertron, I am willing to take you guys on! Our strategy was to let two people run and I will stick this through. We are in a democracy here and democracy will prevail.

If eSA gets PTO'd, I'm sorry, but how the hell is it due to mulder's selfishness? Are you out of your mind? I'll ask again, how DO you stop multi's from voting? Create your own multi's? If the channers or whoever wants to PTO eSA again, NOTHING will stop them, not even admin. Sorry.

Good luck mulder! I applaud you for being willing to step down but also for having the determination to not just cave in to the PTO'ers.
Now the whole country needs to follow yours and Cyber Witch's example and have the determination to stop the PTO'ers from succeeding.
EVERY citizen needs to vote for their choice between you and CyberTron and ensure that there is NO way the PTO'ers can get enough votes to win.

Our country can do without insults, mud slinging, in-fighting, recriminations, etc. during these trying times. Unity is strength and displaying unity and humility when you want to do just the opposite is the sign of any true statesman.
Can "everybody" please count to ten and think things over first rather than posting in the heat of the moment.
Let's put our country ahead of any personal feelings.

I'm going to focus on the positive here ... and I'm POSITIVE that Mulderpf's decision to return to the presidential run is great for eSouth Africa. I'm very excited to help him however I can and support him as both a candidate and CP.
This may sound silly, but compared to a couple other countries I could name, South African politics are refreshingly civil. I hope we can hold our focus on keeping our borders safe and making our team strong. Doesn't that matter most? And I believe Mulderpf to be a great choice to keep South Africa on track, so w00t!

It isn't important who steps down, only who DOESN'T get elected, namely the PTO candidate.
When we were dealing with Hungarian PTO in eUSA and I noticed dozens of votes being wasted in a race between two eAmericans, I asked them both to sit down and decide on who would be allowed to win this time around. The guy in front, by a few votes, was decided to be the winner in exchange for agreeing to help the other guy get a better endorsement the second time around.
And they both send their remaining mobile voters against the Hungarian PTO.
That's the kind of selflessness we need to see in South Africa, not bickering over who gets to be ePresident because of some notion of "democracy" -- I'm a stranger to your shores so I don't know the specifics of the threat, but if there's a real PTO threat here (channers, I'm assuming?).
If the PTO gets elected, where will your in-game "democracy" be then?
Do the sensible thing, eSouth Africa, and decide on one candidate until you can have Presidential elections free of even ONE channer candidate. Not ~two~ candidates; one. There's always next month for the other candidate.
Fighting amongst ourselves is the reason why eUSA's had to deal with Hungarians getting into Congress by just four votes difference, but thankfully this last election we came together as a nation and defeated the PTO.
High-minded ideals like democracy in a browser-based game are great, so long as you don't let them get in the way of keeping your nation secure.
No one wants to see another Roneli elected.
