I want to be your president!

Day 890, 22:05 Published in South Africa South Africa by mulderpf

After a tough few days, I've decided to put my name forward for the next Presidential Elections. This was not an easy decision (ask the people I spoke to about this, they will confirm!), but it's made and I'm ready to take it on. I will give you all the reasons I would be a good president in this article. If you have any questions, stick it in the comments or PM me. Maybe I can do another Q&A article to answer all these questions.

My achievements

Here's a quick summary of my achievements in eRepublik (which is of importance to the voting public):

By far it would be my term as Minister of Security. Whilst some people would say that all my work was for nothing and that there never was a PTO threat, I like to believe that the PTO threat went away due to my hard work and diligence.

During the last party presidential term of the 3rd Republic, I was also the party president of the Independent Alternatives. If anyone remembers that, you would hopefully remember me as an active party president who put my money where my mouth was and almost annoyed the public with the amount of articles I published. Okay, so anyone can publish a bunch of articles, but I took time out every day to write one and remained committed throughout my term. Those articles didn't write and publish themselves you know!

I also ran Mulder Enterprises which still remains closed since the fall of the 3rd Republic. Most of the companies are stuck in Limpopo, so I can't re-open them right now and it was going to be my goal for the coming month, but I'd rather focus my attention on being president, should the public wish to elect me. Who knows, maybe I can get Limpopo back for us so that I can finally re-open Mulder Enterprises.

CP goals

So there are these dreaded CP (country president) goals which I need to choose in order to place my candidacy to run for president. Instead of choosing these and forgetting about them, my presidency will very much hinge on achieving these. I will ensure that all the Ministries work together based on whatever goals I choose. Ultimately, these goals will determine the success of all my ministries and how they are able to function together. If I choose a 10% increase in population, it will also become the goal of the MoSD, MoS and the MoI. This will help us to remain focused on our ultimate goals. At the moment I don't care as much for GDP and population growth as much as I do for getting all our regions to be united. It would be the ultimate thing to be the president to unite all of eSouth Africa's regions (However, I will definitely need some advice on whether this will actually be feasible! I am not going to blindly choose something which cannot be done.). Also, as much as getting Limpopo back would be an ultimate goal, I will not neglect the growth of the country and the economy - I am busy hatching out an idea for population and GDP growth. Watch this space!

Cabinet

I like the current set up and would not like to change much to the existing structure. It's a great structure put into place by Mark Morcom and it works. In terms of the people in my cabinet - they have to be people I can trust. They are after-all my hands and legs and will be the people who help me to achieve my goals in the long-run. There is no way I can do everything on my own! I have been around long enough now to know the people well enough to know who I can rely on to get the job done.

Why me?

I've always seen myself as the good guy and I believe that is what people like about me. I tend to always try and see the good in people and will continue to do that, until they prove me wrong. That is also why I need a very strong cabinet, because I need people to bring me back down to earth and remind me that not every person out there want to act in the interest of the country. I have proved time and time again that I am a hard-worker. To be honest, I think this is more because I'm a perfectionist, rather than a hard-worker - but once I start something, I do my best to finish it wihtout losing heart halfway through. Many people make a great start, but it then tapers down into nothing - I hope I can prove to people that I have the perseverance and determination to make this country a better place!

If you vote for me, I will make you proud!
