Every different food resource country owns gives +20% bonus to all food and Food raw material companies located in that country. eIreland have 3 resources and bonus is 60%.
GRAIN
Price: 500 IEP + 1000 IEP (land) = 1500 IEP
Profit per day: 18.48 IEP
Time for which it pays of: 31 days
FRUIT
Price: 2000 IEP + 1000 IEP (land) = 3000 IEP
Profit per day: 36.96 IEP
Time for which it pays of: 81 days
FISH
Price: 10 Gold* = 10000 IEP + 1000 IEP (land) = 11000 IEP
Profit per day: 66 IEP
Time for which it pays of: 166 days
* 1 GOLD = 1000 IEP
CATTLE
Price: 7500 IEP + 1000 IEP (land) = 8500 IEP
Profit per day: 92.4 IEP
Time for which it pays of: 92 days
DEER
Price: 35 Gold = 35000 IEP + 1000 IEP (land) = 36000 IEP
Profit per day: 132 IEP
Time for which it pays of: 272 days

Best option is not to have any raw company but only factories, which is quite liquid especially if Q1
True that it has the best profit margin, but it is pretty useless really.
You might want to check your numbers for Fruit again.
Fruit Orchards should have a ROI (return on investment) equal to Grain Companies as they costs twice as much to build and produces twice as much daily.
Food/FRM production seems to be the way to go in Ireland, as you're naturally more productive in it than WRM/Weapons.
i always go for the 7500 iep deals....just a hunch but in long run seems better....as long as iep stay .001 for land sake

But it is. Grain will always produce half as much as Fruit no matter what the productivity bonuses are.
@ 40% Productivity, Grain produces 49 & Fruit produces 98
@ 60% Productivity, Grain produces 56 & Fruit produces 112
So, regardless of a nations productivity bonuses, Grain and Fruit will always take the same amount of time to return your investment. The only difference is Fruit will cost you more up front and use less wellness over time.
