'Sir, I must urge you to give this course of action your deepest thought. Not to speak out of turn, but...well...' She hesitated, lost in a train of thought. She often did that, as if she was zoning out and saw things only she could see. He frantically paced the room and threw his arms in the air.

'Well, what is it?! Out with it, woman!', he interjected.

'Well, all you tried has failed so far against them...the lasers, frankly, were laughable... and the ninjas were quite disappointing as well. And I will not mention the pirates, Sir. I would not dare to mention them at all!'

'Well, arn't you full of answers then?', he grunted with frustration. 'But you wouldn't understand now, would you? You would not understand what it is for earth to mourn the loss of David Bowie.'

He took a deep breath and threw it in her face. 'Because you're not even human!'

She smiled sadly. 'That much is true...but then again, and this might come as a shock, neither was David Bowie.'

She slowly rose from her Chesterfield sofa and walked up to him. She pinched his shoulder in consolation. 'Don't you worry...we will set this right. We will set this right without having to resort to weapons or bombs or whatever it is you humans are always so fond off.'

'But how?', he cried out.

Now a coy grin slowly formed on her lips. 'Trust me...' She winked. 'I am the Doctor.' She turned suddenly, sending her cloak billowing behind her. 'Come along, I know just the place to find answers. Come along then....'

She paused a single moment and clearly hesitated. 'Who were you again, you said?'
