I QUIT!

I've been playing this game for three of the five years it has been in existence. I have therefore seen the game becoming increasingly simplistic. layers of complexity have been stripped away. The Economic system has gone from a variety of products and raw materials to two types of Raw Materials and two types of finished products differentiated only by quality of goods. Virtually all of the major tasks of the political system have been stripped away or made so simple as to lose all relevance. The role of a member of Congress today is to rubber stamp vote supply for military units and approve renewals of alliances. The tax structure is in such a state that it can go months without changing.

I am someone who values complexity in a game; a little strategy, something that exercises the "mental muscle." This game has ceased to provide that for me. In the past couple of months I have been logging in more out of habit than enjoyment. The past few days I've forgotten to log in, and do you know what? I didn't miss it. Therefore I have decided to quit playing this game. I may check in every once in a while in the probably vain hope that the game's owners have seen the light and put some complexity back, but as of right now, I QUIT!
