Hello,
So where have I been?
Over the last few days, it seems a small campaign, led by former vice-president Severin to highlight my absence and oversights. I guess my oversight was letting it go on a bit long. Please excuse me for my one day absence, where I attended a wedding. But I haven't been around....? The majority of days of my term, I have been available during the day, otherwise I have accomplished by work by night. But I assure you, I am here, I am working.
If you need to know what has been happening, I have been securing Ireland's safety during these turbulent times, with Foreign Affairs and Defence. Of course there were promises in our manifestos yet to fulfil. I want to spend the next week organising the Ceann Comhairle, (or Head Council) as was promised.
I fully admit, the cabinet was a disaster. A lesson learned.
War Games
Due to the situation the US has found itself in, facing a war against Peace, the war games have met a hiatus. The cabinet and war council are considering all of our options, but a high priority of ours is to resume these games.
I'm sorry for the aggravation caused, but I found one thing interesting. One or two citizens, if any, actually contacted me about my 'absence'. Would no-one think to talk to someone before speaking out?
I hope to continue this term far more smoothly than it has begun.

Is it just me or do we people as a whole pay out the current presidents way too much e.g. Nithraldur, Starks etc. I mean are we never satisfied with who we have as president?
I'm sure the public will understand the delay in effectuating manifesto promises is a consequence of ensuring the security of our nation put in peril by the WORLD WAR that has erupted around our fine country.
Unfortunately there is a small overly-vocal minority in this country that breaks into tears at the slightest little problem. And, by the way, Starks taking a day to go to a wedding is even less than a little problem.
You know what, I think I'm going to write an article about this...

Being President is a thankless job there will always be people unhappy with every you do or don't do so every ex-President I know has told me.

AppleMan...I wouldn't be so quick to judge, the left did the same thing to me after I was missing for a period that was actually under one day's time. Both sides bitch and moan about basically the same thing.

Trying to stir up the political scene at the brink of a world war... not the greatist of tactics I've seen, but then to be fair it's pritty darn RADICAL laughing my arse off right now, anyhoo best of luck wit the rest of this term. Hello. Every1 expects the prez to be busy during times like these and no doubt u probably were. But the people, the noobs and every1 else deserved to know what was going on and what ur standpoint on this situation was. Its been days now, thats takin the mickey. Im not just upset at starks but the rest too for pretty much leaving us in the dark these last few days. A quick article would have been so nice at the start of war. Also being on irc everyday is not good enough. What about the noobs and those that are just really bad with computers? Cant believe none pmed u, what about taniste. They wrote articles giving out about u days ago.
BUT nomatter what , still love u starks, ur a good man. Just keep the people informed, and not just the ones on irc.

I know was basically just told no wargames. And i still had to get info to DoD.
And it left me thinking that our country may still need me, now i feel like a bum.
I really wanted to go fight somewhere but wanted to be here just in case. Now i realise it was a waste of my time i guess.
Things could have gone alot smoother, didnt know what government was at in background?
Not that unhappy just wish it would have went down differently.
But sorry im just mouthing off now, dont want to be a complainer (a little late i guess).

All we wanted was a public announcement Starks and I appreciate this message.

I taught we already had a Ceann Comhairle but it's good to hear efforts will be made to fufill election promises.

I'm glad to see you say something finally, but I stand by my criticism at the time. Up until today the last time anything was said by Starks in a place the public could see was Friday, July 10th. With the huge turmoil in the World, and the lack of War Games because of it, a simple "Hey Guys, I know things are crazy right now, we are on it and will have more later" would have worked wonders. In the public's eye, you were not gone one day, you were gone almost seven.

1 day ? Are you kidding me. I havent heard anything from Starks in over a week. And this coming during a time where our national sovereignty is being threatned.
Why are yall so happy he checked in after a week of doing nothing. Not to mention the article itself is bare bones and he probably spent 5 seconds on it which, is probably not the best idea since he ahs just been gone for a week
