Greece never existed as a nation up until 1821.
They were the city states listed above, together with many more, sharing culture, language, spirit, but were always fighting one another. They would unite only by an external threat, such as the Persians.

They were all Greek.

The Ottoman Empire also existed 1500 years after Alexander the Great. They conquered about the same territories just like Alexander the Great did. They had also conquered Palestine. So if Palestine rises, and become an independent state, and say they want to be called Ottomans, with the presumption that because they had been conquered by Ottomans they are Ottomans, and not the Turks, how would the Turks feel about it? If they would say that Sultan Mehmed II was their ancestor, and all the countries he conquered, were their success? How would Turkish people feel?

Well, it is exactly the same thing here for us. Current FYROM territory is no Macedonia, and never were Macenonian ground. Ancient Peones were the inhabitants, another Greek tribe, and they were conquered by the Macedonians, the pure Macedonians, also a greek tribe. Slavs (FYROM are slavs and their language is a slavic one) came to the territory 1000 years after Alexander the Great, just to inhabit ancient Peonia.

So for Macedonians, Peonia (currently FYROM) was nothing different as Egypt, or Iraq. They were territories they conquered and nothing more.

USA and the other 1536521456 nations in the world that recognize FYROM as Macedonia, have their own interest of doing so. Whatever they do though, they can never ever alter history. History is ONE, and is written some thousands years ago. Who the f@ck is the president of USA or GB or Russia, or Greece who can try to change it?

FYROM or Macedonia issue is a conflict and a problem of FYROM and Greece only. Nobody really cares or should. World and even this game recognizes Macedonians as FYROM. So take a chill pill, it's just a game and nobody but you (2 countries) give a shit about it.

Every country deserves to be called as they wish, so their name is Macedonia. Even before their country's establishment, they were called Macedonia in Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. They were one of the six socialist republics that formed Yugoslavia, and their name during then was again Socialist Republic of Macedonia.

Anyways though, I do not believe that they are the sons of Alexander. As far as I read about him and saw some movies, he shows true Greek culture and behavior. (making out with his soldiers, having sex with his men, wearing make up, crying in the lap of his mother etc.)

I guess that the "macedonians" will not understand this,cause they don't speak the language that Alexander the Great learned when he was a kid,open a history book finally...And I suggest that Skopje,Greece,Turkey and the other Balkan countries shoulb be called Roman Empire,because once upon a time these lands were conquered by Romans,I don't understand,why FYROMians prefer our history and not the Italian or the turkish one(they were Turkish slaves),or they should think to call themselves Bulgarians...
