I Have Observed

I have observed that a number of my fellow members of Congress have decided to leave New Zealand. I wish to inform those who voted for me in the past election that I have no intention of leaving this country. I am not a quitter. I haven't been as active in the forums as I might have been. This is due in no small part due to the season of the year, and to some other personal pressures. Fair enough. But I was elected to Congress to do the best that I can for the people who voted for me. I will vote as my conscience directs particularly when it comes to tax and economic policy and it may not always be the way that my party directs.

Now I cannot say yet whether or not I will run for Congress again in the Christmas Election. I cannot say whether or not I will remain in New Zealand or will return to Canada. In fact in all truth I cannot say whether or not I will stay in this game. I'm frankly a little (well more than a little) dissatisfied by the direction that the game is going in. But as long as I'm here, I'm here and I'll do my job in the game as well as I can.

People spouting loyalty and unity, and then leave right when they lose.

That's why I don't believe in either of those words, because they're pipe-dreams of the idealistic.

I'm going to take this chance to let people know that I will once again be running for congress in these upcoming elections. I've missed out in the last 2 congress elections, but I plan to keep trying until I get somewhere. I need a chance to prove I'm in it for the right reasons.

Also, I'm a RL NZer so there isn't anywhere better for me to be in this game.
