Hey all,
I have a problem. I cannot be bothered. I sit here staring at the world map trying to find the energy to jump back into the world of IRC, but it's just not happening. I feel bad for the players new to IRC, having to register, identify, find channels, join channels, get abused in said channels, leave channels, cry, etc.
You would think a game based on socialisation would make things a little easier, then again they did try once. That went well, or would have if they hadn't of completely ignored the current IRC community, but I digress. It's intriguing to me that there's no official mention of IRC from the eRepublik team, not even a mibbit app.
Wouldn't it be better if we had, I don't know, an eRepublik IRC client? One that automatically registers new players, where parties can link their page to their existing IRC channels, where joining a channel requires a click, one tailored to eRepublik.
Just a thought.

It would be good to have an EFFECTIVE in game IRC. Also come to #MoD (I never go in #euk as it is a spam/troll fest).
If they made a client that worked WITH the current IRC setup, it would be really good for getting newer players active.
Yeah, an in-game equivalent of the Mibbit IRC would be super! I also just can't be bothered to use IRC, it's too much effort xD
