Join the new world

Erepublik is an interesting place. We all can work, fight, eat, organize, and generally live out a reflection of our real world selves, albeit greatly simplified selves. This is nice for a while but it gets old. So I started thinking, what could this game give us all that would spark some interest? The freaking MOON. That's what.

Think about it. Instead of building companies sticking to houses, defense systems, and hospitals, they could build rocket ships and launch sites. I am not joking [sort of joking but really hoping at the same time]. Countries could then send a group of astronauts to colonize the Moon. A country would get to choose a group of citizens meeting certain strength and level requirements and then send them off at some particular date. Sigrun_Makinen suggested that those who go to the moon would be unable to fight in battles on Earth, with one or two days of travel time to get from one rock to another. Awesome suggestion.


Us. IN SPACE.

Different countries would scramble to put their toughest astronauts up there. Once there, the astronauts would basically just fight over territories that would provide either just resources or some other type of benefit to their country. Once an area of the Moon was taken, a country could then put defense systems and hospitals there like they normally would with any other region.

So folks, sign this petition I just started. Give me the freaking Moon. I want it. I demand it. It taunts me and I will have no more of it.


Look at it just sitting there all sexy like. Taunting me. I will bear this NO LONGER.

To the folks in this game who do not like having overly fantastical elements in this game, look at my proposition this way. We already landed on the Moon in RL. We have space programs throughout the world. I am merely asking the admins to allow those in Erepublik to finally be able to mimic this one awesome aspect of RL. Countries can still choose to invest their treasuries in other things. They can choose to stay on this hunk of dirt we call Earth. I just want the option to go to the MOON. Come on. It's awesome. Do not deny me this. Besides, the admins basically made us all PIRATES already. May as well let us be astronauts as well.

Shout this out. For realz. I actually do WANT people to sign the petition. I WANT the admins to consider this.

We could also send certain pizza loving citizens to the Moon. There's always that.
