When the citizens of a country can vote themselves free things out of the treasury, they become even more dependent upon that government. As they continue to vote themselves free stuff, which is really the fruits of others labor, the end result is that the government will become tyrannical, as everyone is entirely dependent upon their free stuff.

For the above reason, I'm afraid I have serious issues with your offer of giving 1000 citizens a q5 weapons factory. You would also be excluding 5500 citizens from that offer, which means you are taking from others and giving the fruits of their labor to 1000 citizens of your choice. It is plain income redistribution. If the government could afford to hand out that quantity of companies, why not just let the citizens keep their money and let them decide what to do with it? It is their money after all.

The money that's being raised from these taxes are going to replenish the reserves. Why? Because Oblige has requested, received, and spent MILLIONS of dollars on the war effort in the past two months. Combat Orders were the main reason we were able to push out Serbia and Hungary.

However, money is not going to win every war, every time. Our enemies have 60% of the worlds damage and massively out-hit us.

First off, we have 4 regions: Alaska, Hawaii, Kansas, and Oklahoma.

Secondly, yes. We did push them out. Serbia and Hungary do not occupy any of our regions.

Thirdly, I mistook WRM for Weapons Factories. So it's significantly less expensive, but that's still a ton of gold (35,000) or cc (7 Mil) to get it done. You would have to spend $15,000 to get that kind of cash in-game.

I still doubt that the AFA either has that kind of money or could acquire that kind of wealth.

secondly do you mean we pushed them out or did they lose interest in us, they were just boredd of continuasly bashing our heads in... so they left someone else to do it for them...

third as i said before they are loans.. which people will be paying back in time, we expect ~10% per month but may be less. From the increased spending generated by this income and by having 100% bonuses and a small loan given to AFA by a third party we will ensure we will have the right amount of funds. Remember atm the income with the current taxes and vat and import tax is 110k cc per day(3.3 milion per month). enough to subsidise 400 q5 wrm companies each month for the eUS citizens. Why does the current government not do that? Instead it steals and steals and steals our money...

Serbia was attacked on multiple fronts. Their empire was struck down and they had a couple of core regions taken. They did not "lose interest." They were forced out.

Hungary was also forced out. They wanted to keep our regions, because they got 10/10 bonuses by holding USA and Mexico's regions. However, their empire was over extended that their allies would not try to rescue it for them. So, when Hungary was attacked on 3-4 fronts, their empire collapsed.

Are you sure you didn't edit that in, about the loans? After all, you did edit in the "110k per day" stat I gave you. I didn't see it when I first read it, and your comment simply said you had the finances. No mention of a loan program. Nevertheless, it doesn't really matter.

As for funding with tax dollars, the reserves are usually for defense purposes. They are there for precisely the kind of situation we find ourselves in. They are there to enable us to fight back while under massive invasion. Congress would, in theory, be able to apportion that money for such a factory program... but I don't think they would, citing the massive cost, and the fact that the government has food/weapons programs and most MU's will give you daily supplies of food and weapons. Furthermore, if you want to lower taxes to 1%, you would no longer have the necessary gov't funding to complete the program. You would lack $7300 RL cash in gold.

I could be wrong, but I don't think people are willing to throw that kind of money at such a program. (Even if you claim to have secured funding)

Also, how do you expect people to pay back the loans if they are likely working in communes or in low paying jobs? WRM isn't extremely profitable, and work tax will take a chunk out of it. Plus, when Canada ran a similar program, I believe they had a problem with people simply running off with the cash.

This tax has been in effect for about a week now. Are you REALLY suggesting we could win a massive war against 2 countries in that time? Once reserves are replenished, we go balls deep into Poland and Spain and that is how we win. Spending our money in tiny waves does nothing.
