I believe in GOD, I spell it SACHIN
Vishroid
As India won against west Indies in second test played in Wankhede stadium on 16 Nov, every person was waiting for one Man.
This man made the whole India happy and made every tournament a festival.
Whenever he made centuries, people in India went on to celebrate the occasion.
For 24 years he was in that 22 yards, trying to win every match for India.
My friends, until now you might have understood, about whom I'm talking.
The God of Cricket, Master Blaster Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar.
He called it a day after his 200th test, played during span of 24 years.
He has the power to make India happy, but we finally saw that he also has the power to bring tears to eyes of 1 billion people.
At the last he also cried.
I'm 23 and i can't believe that, this man kept on playing the game for this long time.
To people of those countries where cricket is not played/watched, Sachin Tendulkar is the God Of Cricket. (Don't believe me, check on Google)
Other players have fans,
He has got devotees..
Over the years people have watched him play, and now that he is gone there is beginning of a feeling of missing something in cricket.
I have personally made excuses to my mother for watching Sachin bat, instead of studying. Especially of WC 2003 when i got beaten coz next day was my exam & i was watching him bat against Pak.
I'll miss watching him bat.
"Dear Sachin,
We started watching cricket coz of you;
We bunked classes to see your batting;
We cheered when you hit 4's & 6's;
We danced in joy when you won us matches;
We felt sorry for the bowlers whom you smashed to all the corners of the ground;
We cursed ...the umpires who gave you out;
We switched the tv's ON and switched OFF our lives when you walked for batting;
We saluted you when you hit centuries;
We too had tears in our eyes when you cried after winning the world cup;
You gave us joy, You made us forget our sorrows, You made us believe;
Thank you for entertaining us for the part 24 years;
We will proudly tell our grandchildrens that We lived in the era of
SACHIN RAMESH TENDULKAR......"
I had a setback when i saw that there is no article about him on erepublik.
I have never asked about chain shout, but this time I do.
Please chain shout this article.

What's cricket?
For us its a game which involves a bat, a ball, safety equipments, 11*2 players, 3*2 stumps, 2 umpires, a lot of fans, a huge stadium and some .. I mean one Living God...
For you.. I Guess cricket is that small little insect with a nasty smell.. Isnt it Hammy??
@ anathakrishnan... guess cricket is the only sport us billions of Indians learned to excel in and also decided to create the bullying monster that is the BCCI. Cricket to India is an example of rare sporting ability and trademark corruption.
Well not Cricket is what you call "example of rare sporting ability and trademark ".. Only Some men and Orgs... The players are considered equal to Gods here (atleast some players) and Cricket has high standards in Indian too.. But, We have to admit that Some parts of the Cricket Governance need to change in India
"In Scotland if you have 11 men and a cricket bat the only thing that’s happening is that some dude is going to be paying the rent he owes."

lol Parth - and as fate would have it, I am online today! so here goes my comment...
Yep Sachin was brilliant but honestly, its all been a bit too much. We forget greats like Vishwanathan Anand (who incidentally STILL does not have a Bharat Ratna!) we forget Ranjitsinhji, Kapil Dev, Pataudi, Dhyan Chand (from yester years) and in later times, Prakash Padukone, Mohammed Shahid, Dhanraj Pillai and so many others. Latest example being - Deepika Pallikal (she just beat the world num 1 in squash and won the Macau open. Does anyone even know her?) ...
In short, maybe it would have been better if we reserved 10% of this excessive adulation and remembered all those who got lost cos we just cannot look past idolising cricket.
(Lucky Milkha Singh had a certain Farhan Akhtar notice him and enable him to get at least a bit of the respect he was due)
I actually cried when he was addressing.(Note- srilankan cricket fan)
Konse school se padha hai yeh ?
Sachin!!! Sachin!!!!! Saaccchhhhiiinnnn!!!!!! immortalised forever
