I Apologize, Tennessee

Day 423, 23:19 Published in USA Bulgaria by Jewitt

Published in this article is a speech transcribed earlier from WATE, Knoxville, where Congressman Jewitt (UCP) of Tennessee made a speech about his first term in office. It is unedited and untouched.

I Apologize, Tennessee

I did not uphold my end of the bargain. Everything I pledged to, I have done. I have provided a website to show my voting record and I have become more active - which I did not think possible. I have gained over 150 posts on the eUS Forums from talking in the Legislative board alone. I do not mean to toot my own horn, but I can assure any one of you that at least ten congressmen in the union did not accomplish more than five posts.

Add to this my now being a member of the Economic Council to aid President Justinious Mcwalburgson III in his economic policy and my structuring of a new tax policy, I feel my first term has been as progressive, if not more, than any others before me.

However, I did fail this state. Entering into this campaign, I legitimately knew that it would be difficult to find a way to bring us a better hospital, and to be honest, I do not see it happening in this second mandate I am hoping to be elected into.

I Formally Announce My Intentions

I will lie, cheat, and steal and ultimately bring down the moral framework of eUS-ian Society. Now, in all seriousness, I plan to uphold my original election promise to continue to be transparent. I make the link readily available on all my shouts every day.

I will not promise a Q4 or better hospital for Tennessee. Being in Congress, I have seen the value of teamwork. I will not deny that I had a part in the critically-acclaimed Comprehensive Tax Policy Act which was passed, with my endorsing the first tax changes. I will promise, however, to better represent Tennessee not as a local-sympathetic to any promises which I know have the knowledge I cannot make, but as a national representative of the people, approachable by the people, and concerned for the people.

I myself work in the state's logging industry, am a share holder and Acting President of Jewron Incorporated (Operating a generously-paying Q2 wood company based here in Tennessee), and am already a stable in the face of congress.

As a hard-worker twice fold and an active media-freak, I will pledge to be active as I have been and not allow my Real-Life duties to affect my hopeful second mandate of congress.

The Catch

I need you Tennesseans to recognize that if I am elected, I will be "semi-active" from Friday afternoons until Sunday nights every weekend. This is due to my real-life obligations as a son, brother, boyfriend, and student. I will log in at least once a day on the weekends to make quick replies to any private messages and to do my work and train ritual, but aside from that I will not be able to appropriately message back any concerns or requests until that Sunday night or, if it was a busy weekend for eRepublik, Monday.

This, I promise, will not interfere with my performance. I will not deny that my activity and dedication to this game in the past month have been due to Winter Break from classes, but with my current class schedule I have plenty of time between classes to do my studies and actively participate on eRepublik, so each other can be dealt with by me without straining my personal being.

Why am I telling you all this? I feel you, the voter, have the right to know. If some random newcomer has the audacity to claim to be daily active and surpass me with hours spent on the game daily, then I challenge him or her to prove the claim. I can count on only one hand the congressmen I know able to achieve this fact and I am sure hey would agree: I will find a way to represent, be it at 2 PM in the afternoon or 2 AM in the morning - which I have done many a time.

Let's Sum this Up!

So...here's a list. Some of it is from my last campaign, some of it is updates on my federal positions, and some more is about how my views have changed.

Here are a few base points to consider:

1.Active daily.
2.Known voice on the rizon #us channel.
3.Voiced in opinions.
4.Pledges to participate in every bill’s discussion via eUS Forums.
5.Will actively pursue the views of Tennessee residents in decision making.
6.Not a believer of the Pakistani-deity Dio.
7.Is an avid critic of Lewdaism / Sects.
8.Is Jewish.

These are a reaffirmation of my pledges from last term, edited with my new perspective:

1.To participate in every bill that passes through congress.
2. To debate and voice eTennessee's views in congressional debates.
3. To encourage the expansion of our government to include more player interaction.
4. To study and observe the income tax and adjust it only if necessary.
5. Continue my voiced opinion in both the rizon chat and the eUS forums with the nation's leading voices.
6. To continue being Jewish, and thus, a superb economist.
7. To continue to represent eIsrael as Ambassador of the Jews, as well as Tennessean Congressman
8. To continue being a productive and critical member of the Federal Economic Council

I hope you enjoyed this article, as it probably will be my "platform." This is a rickroll.

To Do List:

Vote on January 25th. Look at their platform.

At current, I do not know who is running in Tennessee. If Donovanator (AAP) is, I hope our second run together will be as close and intense as our last. Keep an eye out for any other candidates in your state, they should start popping up soon.

Subscribe, vote, or send hate mail. I also appreciate candy grams.
