Before we get to the conspiracy...
Remember the guide I promised? I've chucked it away and started again. What I will do is create a fictional citizen in that series of articles and give an account of his adventures. Financial and otherwise. This guide will not only teach people how to build their fortune... it will also combine as a newbie player guide! TWO BIRDS WITH ONE STONE FTW!

Twas I Who Organised For ArawnLives To Be The Sole Candidate For CP.

I'm sorry Restive, I can't keep typing like that forever. It takes so much longer to do and lets be honest capitalising every word is just fatiguing for the reader.

Of course the two statements above are false too. I have done neither of those things. Neither are Croatia our enemies. Speaking as a former Ambassador to Croatia I can vouch for our steadfast friends and allies!

The main thrust of this article is to put out into plain sight what happened (IU wise) during the course of the previous month given the confusion around the issue (I'm not counting our Iranian 'friends' in that last sentence).

Shortly after the PP elections of last month I sent the winner of that election a message. That message asked for the party's blessing to become CP.

The response was essentially, "Whenever you want the party's support, I'm sure we will give it. But I will need to talk to other senior members first."

This is not unusual in India, or indeed anywhere in the New World. There are always High Council's in the bigger parties in this World. You need them to organise a party the size of IU.

I started a slow campaign, writing some articles highlighting my experience while not quite openly stating my candidature (it wasn't official yet anyway).

Then just before the nominations for the CP elections were to close our PP asked if we should support Arawn or chooses someone else if they stepped up. In that thread I sent a reminder that I would love to be CP (India's the only nation I have been in that made me WANT to be CP).

A couple others in the thread supported me.

Then the PP elected to throw the party's weight behind Arawn.

I can't pretend I wasn't annoyed a little by this but I had no trouble with Arawn being CP (it would have been nice to have an election contest but hey can anyone here say Arawn has been a fail CP or has ever been any less than a loyal citizen?)

I then found out from another member's article written that the party seniority were talking to HIM to run for election. He refused for a number of reasons. The party kept trying to convince him but he kept saying no.

I can't pretend that didn't annoy me either but... and this next part is most important so stick with me!

The PP of IU contacted me shortly after I left IU and came back to my old stomping ground the DPI.

He rather politely pointed out that I had only been back for a month and the party hierarchy felt that I hadn't been active long enough for them to consider me as a potential candidate.

While I would have appreciated knowing that earlier, I have to say. Fair enough.

To be quite honest, I would have thought it a little crazy me being chosen as the candidate for the month. I would have done the same as the party hiearchy did if I were in their shoes.

And NO OTHER such organisation in eRepublik would have done ANY DIFFERENT... assuming they were intelligent that is! 😁

I have no grudge against India United or the party leadership. They are great people and true citizens!

Hopefully this clears the air! I only mention this because my name has been mentioned in connection with the conspiracy. I work hard to build my reputation here and I refuse to have it tarnished by a prepubescent keyboard warrior!

The Croatian land swap deal... I'll deal with that quickly. Both sides are gaining. Croatia get bonuses, we get some much needed cash which we can use to develop our nation. Good deal!

The CP even went as far as getting citizens outside of Congress to respond to a form asking what they thought of the deal. THERE WAS OVERWHELMING SUPPORT for the plan

The main reason for my arrival here in the DPI are all my friends here 😁 I love them all!
