I am retiring as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff
Eugene Harlot
As many of you know, I have been planning my retirement as CJCS for some time. I have decided that it is time to give others the opportunity to have some fun and frankly, I think I've earned some rest after the last few months. It has been my pleasure and privilege to serve in this position and I know that my successor will continue to lead the eUSA military to its destiny as the dominant military power in eRepublik.
Effective tomorrow, Day 730, Gaius Julius will begin his command as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs. General of the eUS Army NXNW will serve as Vice-Chairman. Together they have the skill, experience, knowledge and dedication that make them an excellent replacement for me. Please join me and the Joint Chiefs in supporting them as they assume this responsibility.
Thank you again to all the great soldiers I have had the opportunity to lead. I would especially like to thank Lucius Varenus, without whom I never could have maintained my sanity. It would be impossible to give him too much credit. I would also like to thank the excellent allied commanders that I have had the pleasure of working with, foremost the military commanders of EDEN: shoot, Lilla_T and Gabrial Lavanche. Thank you to the Presidents, Ministers of Defense and military commanders of our true brothers in Sweden, Norway, Finland, Croatia, Greece, Spain, Poland, Romania, Canada, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Switzerland, North Korea and South Korea. I have been lucky to have known so many of the great players of this game as friends and foes. Thank you all.
I do not intend to leave the game. I will continue to serve the eUSA as a Marine, my first and greatest passion in the game. But I do look forward to a time when I will not need to dedicate so much effort to the game.

Harlot has given more time and effort to the United States than anyone will ever know. If anybody deserves a break it is Eugene Harlot. All of this said, it is a sad day for me personally.
While I have said this before Harlot, you will be missed.

Good Luck Harlot, y'know where I am if you fancy a few days off, to go out on the rip 😉

If anyone has earned a Vacation, its Eugene Harlot.
