Before I begin the rest of this article let’s explain the meaning of this newspaper to you. Since on our forum most of the arguers seem to be blinded by the gold mountain that is held before them, I will use this newspaper to express my feelings over current affairs. Don’t expect anything shiny now, articles will consist of information only.
Now let’s start the real article:
Look at this picture, what you see above is Netherlands as it is today. Cut in two by “the pink horde”. This same horde has divided the ruling powers in our country. As we speak the country president (ElGorro) is accused of abusing his power by making an agreement with so called “the pink horde”.
He has made an agreement with the Polish based upon a congressional vote. Though it was too soon to make a real agreement about this as the outcome of the vote was the following:
North and South Netherlands: 9 votes.
North and East Netherlands: 7 votes.
Neutral: 2 votes.
Tonie112 refers to these votes as a majority has chosen to regain North and South. I hereby wish that all of you read this law about congress votes.
Congress Acts need a majority of 50% + 1 vote, the vote of the Country President will determine the final result in an ex aequo. If, at an ex aequo, the president has not voted, the voting round has to be started again.
According to this article in our law, the decision of ElGorro to proceed with his negotiations with the Polish is illegal. Shamefully enough ElGorro negotiated on behalf of MaartenW who was president at the time this vote was started. MaartenW voted on North and South, thus North and South were to be regained by the Netherlands. Though a shameful decision it was completely supported by the congress.
Yet now people are speaking of impeachment, and treason by ElGorro. The discussion ground inside the Netherlands seems to be dreadful. Till this very moment none of the people who are willing to impeach ElGorro have started a new discussion about what to do now.
Other people who are not entirely willing to drop our CP as dead weight have spoken out. Right now there are two paths in front of us, are we willing to support our allies or do we wish to go to war ourselves?
On the forum I’ve already spoken about my concerns of the latter option. Not so long ago our congress dropped Russia as an MPP because they would only fight a training war. Even then a mere glance on our discussion board showed of rivalry between two major groups. We were ought to support our allies and ought to invest in better relationships with our allies. But, some decided otherwise, Russia was not helpful in the fight against “the pink horde” and therefor unworthy of our support. Right now we are going to make the same mistake as we made then. Plans of war are created and the shout is getting stronger.
But what do we hope to achieve?
The shout is blinded by the sight on gold and more bonuses, while refusing to look to our future. Germany and France are under heavy attack and the USA is losing ground in Spain. Therefor if we now decide to break off from these people, we may find ourselves in the same sticky situation in the future, as we are in now. What good use are we to the Germans, the French and the Americans when we decide to fight our own battles and lose them? We will lose MPP after MPP and when we are all left on our own we will be conquered. By whom? We do not yet know. Maybe the Belgiums wish to extend their influence. Or the Germans decide to conquer us. Theoretically spoken of course, if they ever manage to beat “the pink horde”.

This is not true, I clearly stated I didn't want any negotiations.
You might have mixed up the fact that I clearly stated that if anyone wanted negotiations it should be done outside my term.
The vote was not necessarily about negotiations as everybody with a bit tactical experience could have seen the only way we could have taken regions for a longer period was by conquering one of this two combinations.
MaartenW voted on North and South
I tried to vote as late as for me personally to not influence the vote, since there there is no option anymore to abstain from voting I had to make a choice. Voting neutral would just have been a lie.
I've dutch citizenship and I have no big companies like the majority of the Netherlands. I think for babybooming it's important to have a frequent NE because of the strength and influence bonus and the NE missions for newbies.

I'm neutral in this whole impeach situation as I'm studying really hard for an exam week.
