How Plato can fix eRepublik. A Lot.
LongandHard
Plato needs an entire renovation on the economical module of eRepublik. We need to bring back the roots of Rising. When you would get paid by the hour. And you could choose how long you would work for. Back then, everything was in working order! Buying gold was on an all time high as people created gigantic companies that had more than 20 workers at once. Q1 companies were easily profitable when you bought 25 gold. You could create a Q1 with 20 gold, and use the 5 gold on the monetary market to exchange for CC. That CC helped you buy supplies and hired a large workforce. I remember controlling 4 Q1 food, 2 Q2 food, and a Q3 weapons. I had a workforce of over 40 people making a profit of almost $600 a day. Back then, 600 was a lot. the eRepublik "bot" was no one to be seen. Economical growth boomed!
I dont know what happened when I left, but it wasn't good. Now, wages are 230 dollars on average after tax. Q6 weapons cost only 30 dollars now. Making powerhouse armies are easy when large countries like the US. Funding is like pennies a day compared to back then. Now, only Q5 and Q6 companies were profitable. Do you know how much it costs to even make a Q5/Q6? People don't want to spend hundreds of dollars to make a profit with a company.
And dont even get me started on the military module. Remember when the map was a hexagonal field? When we had military hospitals and bunkers to increase defenese? When putting tons of soldiers on a chokepoint was essential to victory.
Plato! LISTEN TO US. WE WANT CHANGE. GET RID OF THE BOT! GET RID OF THE CURRENT MODULES IN PLACE. WE. WANT. CHANGE.

i quit because of the hex map and the investment of time it represented. but your other ideas are sold. this game has no skill or strategy left. its just a series of button clicks with no rea consequence tied to an offsite forum where people argue and fight forever....
I absolutely agree with you, screamingslave. I haven't been at this game for long, but it's very apparent that there's something dreadfully wrong with the modules.
Yah I was around for the very end of the hex battles, and honestly that is what made me keep playing the game. The system now is all about repetitive clicking and gold buying. It's sad that the admins don't realize they could still make just as much money, if not more, on a more strategic game. I could do nothing on the hex-based battles since I was so inexperienced at the time, but it is exactly what made wars interesting. Are wars not what is supposed to make this game interesting?
