How an election was decided by people who know nothing about the game

This is an unbaised article, and it is not about who should have won the POTUS race. It is just a perspective on what may have been if the formatting was different. I know multiple people who were new did this strategy, and I am curious to hear your thoughts on this theory. I am not hating on Frost because i voted for him. I am not hating on Croy because he is one of my favorite people in the game.
When I started out in this game, there was a week before POTUS elections, and PigInZen himself was finishing up. I remember voting for whoever was on the far left, AKA in the lead. I know multiple noobs do this in any race around. It changes a race. Throughout the day, Frost/PiZ was up 5, 11, 15, 10, and so on. It was clear the knowledgeable population was split even. It was a deadlock to win. But as the day wore on, CRoy never did take that lead. The gap continued to grow between Frost and CRoy, as more new players signed on, and hit the far left vote button.

I am not saying CRoy should have won. In fact, it was a sizeable amount he lost by when all was said and done. All I am saying is that if CRoy had that 5 vote lead, who is your president?
Who would have been the POTUS? The world may never know.
That is where I will leave you on this issue. I want to see what you people think about this idea. Should erep randomize the order for every voter, so noobs voting for the left will pan out? Would this solve anything? Comment away, lets see your thoughts.

I think you should STFU and stop complaining. Frost is better anyway.
Yes, why hide the number of votes and all that when you can tell who is where in the election by looking at where they are in the lineup?
lol @revolgod love you too
I DONT LOVE YOU!
6 days old- i would have voted (not enough lvl) for frost left, right or center because i thought going to war with Mexico needed the most strategic experience and best relations with the JCS. (i read about Uncle Sam).
well you see the only thing is, nobody cares
Simple conclusion, Oklahoma sucks. Nuff sed.
This is a good article. The effective of the lead on new players is fairly well known among older players but it's impressive that you have identified it and explained it so well.
Yeah the should randomize it, good article.
Another thing to consider: early in the morning on election day CRoy was up, not by much, but by about a dozen votes. As the morning continued his vote lead expanded. So much so that I thought CRoy would win. That has been my experience with elections, once someone jumps out to an early lead it is usually very difficult to overcome.
You can even ask CRoy (that traitor!) about this. I sent him a congratulation message about it.
Great point, and I'd agree: Randomize it.
(in re above): It was a great election to watch in those first 12 hours. Fun stuff.
