Honor, Courage, and Commitment

Day 1,749, 00:41 Published in USA USA by GZA The Genius
Greetings,

As some of you know, I will be leaving for boot camp in 13 days for the United States Marine Corps. During my time of being enlisted, I have learned many things from great men. Among some of the things they have stressed and instilled in others along with myself, are the values that every Marine must possess.

Honor, Courage, and Commitment.

Honor is the quality of maturity, dedication, trust, and dependability that causes Marine to act responsibly; to be accountable for their actions; to fulfill obligations; and to hold others accountable for their actions.

Courage is the mental, moral and physical strength ingrained in Marines. It carries them through the challenges of combat and helps them overcome fear. It is the inner strength that enables a Marine to do what is right; to adhere to a higher standard of personal conduct; and to make tough decisions under stress and pressure.

Commitment is the spirit of determination and dedication found in Marines. It leads to the highest order of discipline for individuals and units. It is the ingredient that enables 24-hour a day dedication to Corps and country. It inspires the unrelenting determination to achieve a standard of excellence in every endeavor.

During my time of playing, I have been introduced to the most respectable and welcoming group of people. Their actions and treatment of others are the reason I call the Air Force my home in eRepublik. I have strived to earn the respect and trust of my fellow officers and members. I do everything in my will power to ensure they are taken care of and content.

I will always remain a loyal Airman and fight in the name of the eUS to protect her from enemies both foreign and domestic. However, I will not be fighting in the Resistance Wars to return claimed territories of the eUS. While it is my duty to protect and defend this great nation, it is not my duty to further the political agenda outlined in the cause of these actions.

- I will not be requesting supplies from the Air Force during this time.
- I will not fight my own fellow citizens.
- I will be standing down in these regions.
- I will continue fighting alongside the allies of the eUS.

Whether or not my fellow Airmen follow in my foot steps is their choice. I do not represent them nor speak on behalf of the Air Force. I can only hope they do not follow blindly as they are led to fight for a political cause they do not understand.

Signed,

Fields
