War has erupted between eRussia and ePoland, in case you didn't know. I am extremely new to this game but I am still going to voice the observations that I have made. I understand this game is played primarily by teenagers, however the more veteran players are usually in their early 20s if not older. Did any of you take a history class on World War II? Did you pay attention or did you sleep through it? The diplomatic doctrine of appeasement is what gave Hitler's Nazi Germany a running start before WW2 began. I've heard justifications such as "ePoland has bonuses and gives a great boost to allies it trades with". So that is how you justify imperialism? That's all it takes?
ePoland is an aggressive and hostile nation that has long crossed the line where it should have been halted. Diplomatic leaders need to wake up before it is too late. If ePoland were to take Mother eRussia, may god help us all. We are rapidly approaching the point at which it will be "too late" to unite against ePoland. I am proud that the eUSA has decided to defend our loyal ally.

Well, great article and stuff. But this is a game. Here wars are most fun thing to do and there are no casualties like in RL. So in my opinion its hard to compare ww2 and this war..

Really? It's a game? You don't say? You don't think the same philosophical concepts exist between this and real life? Here's a criticism, in real life the Red Army (which were the Russians by the way) slaughtered thousands and raped millions in their march east to Germany, this has yet to happen in eRepublik, and I think there isn't a "rape and pillage" module so, yeah, it WON'T happen... ever.
It IS just a game, the real life tragedy that was WW2 cannot and should not be compared to this server based cloud of ones and zeroes. -end rant
In a less crazy way, you make a good point, but part of the reason this game is going down hill is because people are being way to serious about everything.

I never once mentioned the genocide carried out by Stalin or the Red Army. I was comparing eEarth's appeasement of Poland's imperialism to Neville Chamberlain of the UK. I suggest you READ the article before jumping on the "itz just a gayme" bandwagon. I am aware all countries of eRep have exclusive histories that have little to no connection to the real world past, but thanks for talking to me like a 4 year old 🙂
You misunderstand me, My point was that it is stupid to get offended at "eImperialism", or compare the happenings of the eWorld to the Real World.... That's like the Russians getting offended that we kill them in CoD, or the French getting offended if you nuke them in Civilization 5, or calling the current domestic PTO the "e9/11". It IS a GAME, meaning, it's supposed to entertain. Bemoaning the complacency of eNations in the face of eImperialism is stupid in my opinion. My point is that all this imperialism and "drama" is what makes this game a game, rather than a work simulator.
You are new, so you don't understand that war makes the eWorld go round, hopefully you'll get that before trolls make you ragequit.
