History of the Royal Navy
From humble beginnings in the run-up to Operation French Toast in 2008 through being the largest military unit for over a year to disbandment on 21st April 2010, then reformation on 27th January 2011 and progress since the history of the Royal Navy has been somewhat choppy, no pun intended.
Being perceived as "slow but powerful" many consider what the Royal Navy lacks in per-person power it compensates for with numbers, communication and organisation.
While the Royal Navy has undoubtedly come a long way there is still a long way to go. Until now there has been a strong affiliation with the UKPP which has served both entities well but now many feel it's limiting progress of both and that a split is required. This feeling is supported by an increasing number of Royal Navy members coming from parties other than the UKPP. A key aim for the Royal Navy is to achieve national military unit status and in order to do this political links must be severed, yet another reason for a split from the UKPP.
It's time to progress, it's time to change, it's time for a split; let's remove the limitations and move onwards and upwards.

Boo.
We'll never surrender. Royal Navy is UKPP to the bone. We founded it for the UKPP.
I tend to agree, but unfortunately we're not the only ones who get a vote

What would you prefer?
For the RN to wallow in the swell or sail full steam ahead for a greater future?
I'm for full steam ahead
Or if you prefer,in the words of the UKPP,i;m for progression......for the Royal Navy
Sir Nick - There was a Royal Navy prior to the UKPP adopting the name and I could be wrong but I don't think Alfagrem was the one running it in the very early days...
alfa never ran this incarnation either
he just played a massive part in supplying it.
the same way i have for a longer period of time?
yeah but no one cares about you slack...
i still hold moar powah >.>
I was a member of the old Royal Navy... the difference is, these are 2 different MU's with different people...
Well how about this then, both camps campaign at the end of a week a ballot is cast, true UKPP stylee, in both UKPP and RN, as it effects them both.
The first iteration of the Royal Navy was basically the eUK Government Military. There wasn't a lot of choices back then, so if you didn't want to do commune work with the communists you joined the 'official' government military.
When they introduced MUs I don't remember if there was ever a 'government controlled' Royal Navy, or whether there was one and it was abandoned. At that point the UKPP selected Royal Navy as their military unit, and it's been like that up until now.
It was re-established by the UKPP for use as the ATO arm of the party.
Back when the political world was grey and immobile, UKPP was a tiny, wee party that got threatened with takeover by what were then bigger, more established parties.
