Hi! Meet Ouibster, he is one of us

Day 3,405, 13:50 Published in Japan Serbia by BastovanSurcinski
Respected all. And everyone else.

The second article, now meeting Ouibster.

Enjoy!

BastovanSurcinski: Ouibster, can you clarify your name for us, for the starters? Where are you from in RL, how old are you, and why eJapan? That is the only citizenship you've ever had.

Ouibster: Before we go too far, let me start by stating that I am honored to be considered for this opportunity to talk and share with you and our community.

The name is a derivative of a flight call sign I came across when flying for the US Air Force in southern California. The call sign was Ouibe, which quite frankly we couldn't pronounce. I decided to tell the controllers that our flight was Wee Bee and in English this became a play on words. "Wee Bee number 1", "Wee Bee Initial". Very humorous to young pilots.

As mentioned above, I am from the USA and currently reside in the state of North Carolina. Where my wife and I reside in a small, rural lake house.

I am very old, almost 60, with 5 grandchildren. eJapan was selected because my guild leader (Rethan) from the World of Warcraft - Medivh server - said "Hey, I found this fun game - come and play as a citizen of eJapan." He, has since, left eRepublik, but I remain.

BastovanSurcinski: Hehe... It's a pleasure talking to you, really. What I'm trying to do is to get us all closer, so would you be able to show us some pictures of where you live and what you like doing?

Exploring Volcanos

Golf in Hawaii

Home from Combat

BastovanSurvinski: So what do you like doing in your free time, or what did you use to like in your free time when you were younger?

Ouibster: Free time is somewhat of an oxymoron for me. When I am not working, I prefer to be wrestling with the grandchildren, playing golf and on occasion I still play at World of Warcraft.

BastovanSurcinski: Can you explain your avatar? I don't remember you changing it since I signed up again.

Ouibster: I was a member of Maid Cafe' with MasterTiger and Darshu. Master required that we have an avatar with a young woman/young maid in keeping with the theme of the MU. I had changed my avatar a couple of times, but the MU did not approve until I arrived at this one.

I went looking and came across this picture which met the requirements and from my perspective showed a lovely, young lady without being offensive - perhaps a little mysterious. At the end of the day, it solved the issue.

BastovanSurcinski: From the moment you started playing never have you changed your citizenship. What kept you tied to eJapan all this time and what is still keeping you here?

Ouibster: As my older friends began departing, I always seemed successful in coming across other people with whom to play the game.

I like to set goals/objectives for myself within the play of the game. As the game has changed, I have attempted to change my goals along with the changes. In conjunction with my goals, there has always been players here in eJapan that I either share my goals or are supportive of my pursuits.

Loyalty and consistency are two virtues that any of us can demonstrate in a game of this nature. I appreciate it when others show me their loyalty and consistency and I hope that others appreciate mine.

BastovanSurcinski: Any personal likings: music, movies, books etc?

Ouibster: For music, I like to listen to a broad spectrum excluding the American country genre. Artists I would highlight are: Pink Floyd, Meatloaf, Boney M (Night Flight to Venus album was excellent) and Ofra Haza.

For movies, I have to say I prefer to watch action/adventure genre ones that do not require much thinking but my favorites are Forest Gump, One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest and Deep Throat with Marilyn Chambers 🙂

With books, the genre of choice would be science fiction/science fantasy but I try to stay well read. I just recently finished The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich and am currently reading The Complete Grimm Tales.

I try to stay current on world events. I follow BBC World News and I find American network news to be more opinion than fact. I prefer that you just give me the facts and I will form my own opinion.

BastovanSurcinski: Ouibster, that would be all from me. Is there anything else you might want to add?

Ouibster: First, thank you again for considering me for one of your articles.

I think, in general, we have a good community. Just like most communities/families we have differences of opinion. I only ask that as we communicate with each other that we keep two things in min😛
1. It is only a game.
2. Would I say this to someone sitting next to me?

Thank you again for this opportunity.

Fly safe 🙂

BastovanSurcinski: Thank you, Ouibster, it has been a pleasure!

Ouibster: Izvolite i uživajte.

BastovanSurcisnki: 😃

Until next time.
Cheers!
