Hello citizens of eNorthern Ireland! You may very well not know me yet - I go by the name of Hethor and I am running for Northern Irish congress on behalf of The Unity Party.

About Me

I'll say a little about myself as a relative newcomer (and definite political newcomer!) I have been playing eRepublik for some 6 months, and have been active and learning throughout this time. My main involvement with the eUK so far is through the Royal Guard, in which I hold the position of squad sergeant. I have also been running a couple of London-based companies for the last few months which has proved quietly successful.

Your official candidate from The Unity Party

I support TUP's views and take pride in supporting recent TUP-backed legislation such as the popular Wellness Fast programme, allowing the NHS to aid citizens in raising their wellness in the most efficient way eRepublik allows. As such the TUP manifesto closely represents my stance on a wide range of issues. The March congressional manifesto can be found HERE. Amendments for April are currently in discussion and the new manifesto will be published shortly.

Northern Ireland

In terms of Northern Ireland in particular, I think a major issue is the lack of population in the region - only 283 citizens as of today (the lowest of ANY eUK region) reside here, which of course includes many inactives and those here purely to stay at the military base. This is made all the more difficult to understand when we have a lovely 5-star hospital here. If elected I will be very much interested in helping out with efforts to encourage people to move across.

In Conclusion

I feel this move into politics to be the next step in my increasing involvement in eRepublik and promise if elected to be an active, mature and approachable congressman who will do my best by the citizens of Northern Ireland.

So please: vote for an active player who is on the eUK forums; vote for someone who will do their best for the eUK in the role of congressman. Vote Hethor on 25th April. 🙂
