Hectic start to my first congress

Day 2,014, 23:20 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by myheadstone

My first day as a member of congress and we had 5 law proposals to vote on.

Lets start with the first. this was a carry forward from last month.
USA has been proposed as Natural Enemy.
I voted no. Look at the size and power of the USA its a no contest.
It was rejected 37-9

VAT & Import Taxes: Defense System to raise Value added tax (VAT) and Import Tax from 1% to 3%
I voted no as it would mean less GBP in the pocket for the working citizens who wanted to buy weapons to fight for the EUK.
As it stands 28-5 against

Minimum wage change from 0.1 GBP to 5 GBP
I voted no. This would mean less wages in the long run because there would be less companies available to work for as most would not be able to afford the wages.. If you work for less than 5 GBP now, you probably get other incentives to work anyway rather than the GBP offered.
As it stands 24-9 against

Income tax change from 5% to 9%
I voted no as it would mean less GBP in the pocket for the working citizens.
As it stands 29-3 against

VAT & Import Taxes: Food
VAT to change from 10% to 9%

Import Tax to change from 75% to 70%
I voted no on this since it doesn't really have any value to the working man. It's such a small change, although its going in the right direction.
As it stands 22-6 against

This is my First attempt in congress and doing a congress article. Thanks for reading and making your comments be known, especially if i have voted for the wrong reason i'm always here to be shown the error of my ways.

The Workers’ Rights Party is a political party which strives to see the eUK is full of dedicated, active and well-informed citizens supported by their government. We are dedicated to ensuring equality and enhancing society for all eUK citizens. We trust the people tempered by prudence, this separates us from a lot of the other parties of the eUK who dis-trust the people tempered by fear. At the heart of our party is fairness, free-thinking and creativity.
