Problems with low Health
A certain level of health is required to carry out certain activities. At or below 10 health you cannot work or train.

Where can I check my Health?
Your current Health is displayed in the left side navigation bar underneath your profile picture, beside a green cross.

What happens if it gets to Zero?
You’ll usually be prevented from carrying out any action which would kill your character! You are allowed to fight down to zero now. However no need to worry, in the event that you do manage to forget to heal and then die you will be revived at 50 health next time you log in 😃

--- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- WHAT LOWERS YOUR HEALTH? --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ---

Training

Each additional training facility also lowers health by 10.

Fighting
Lowers health by 10 per fight.
(See-> Basic Military Guide [under construction])

Moving between regions
No health loss when paying local currency directly to move on the the change residence page.
Lowers health by 5 per move if a moving ticket is used (Not recommended)
(See -> Daily Living: Travel [under construction])

--- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- WHAT RAISES YOUR HEALTH? --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ---
FOOD! - Let’s take a look at how to buy it
1. You’ll need to go to the marketplace. (“Market” on the menu bar up top -> “Marketplace”)
2. Once there select food from the product list (It’s the first choice on the left).
3. Select the loaf of bread furthest to the left

4. You can buy more than one food at a time, just edit the “quantity” box of the food you wish to purchase. Then click “buy”.

Check for the lowest price for your needs
Check if multiples of lower value food are lower in price than a single food equivalent. Usually +2 food will be cheapest by unit of health gained due to a highly competitive market. However if you want to get the best deal don’t presume the the lowest price +2 food is always the best value. Example. Buying half the amount of +4 food might be cheaper than the same amount of health from +2 food. Be a smart consumer!

+2 Food... +4 Food... +6 Food... +8 Food... +10 Food

Don’t worry about remembering what each food represents. Just hover you cursor over the product icon in the marketplace and information on the product pops up.

Additional tips for buying food
Buying in bulk when price low : You’ll notice from buying food day to day that the prices can change greatly. If you notice a big dip in price then maybe you should buy food for the days when the price goes up higher than usual.
Buy eIrish - Support our local economy and keep jobs in eIreland :
1. Click the name of the person selling the food. Check that they have Irish citizenship
Note: While we are under occupation some business owners have gained citizenship from allied nations in order to boost productivity. Just make sure you don’t buy from an eBrit!

What happens when I buy food?
It goes to your Storage building located in “My Land”. If you click on the building you’ll be able to see exactly how much food you have available to use. Your storage can hold 1000 units which should be plenty for most users. Upgrades to increase the space available can be bought if needed.

Eating
Underneath your health (on the left sidebar) is a blue button which reads “Eat Food”. Topping up your health can be done from practically anywhere on erepublik,. Just click that button and you use as much food as is needed to heal you completely, provided you have enough stored up that is!

If you run out of food then the food button will turn green. Clicking it brings you to the food marketplace of the country where you’re currently located.
Note : While under occupation you can access the Irish Marketplace from anywhere in the eWorld. Just select the Irish flag from the marketplace menu

The maximum health you can recover from food at any one time is determined by your Town Center, located in “My Land”. Initially you’ll have an allowance of 100 but you will be able to upgrade this once you reach specific requirements.

Just hover your cursor over the food button to see how close you are to this health recovery limit. For everyone, 100 more recoverable health is added every hour, up to your maximum allowance.

You may wonder why anyone would need to use that much health! Well it’s to be able to fight, train & work more (remember each of these actions uses up 10 health)
(see ->Basic Military Guide [under construction])

How do you increase your health recovery limit?
By fulfilling the requirements for upgrading your Town Center (located in My Land)
(See -> Upgrading Town Center Guide [under construction])

Houses
A legacy marketplace item from previous versions of eRepublik which increases health by a small amount per day for a set number of days before disappearing. Now massively overpriced.
Up-to-date info required. Please contact Sean Power

Hospitals
These can only be used by citizens in a State defending itself from attack. If available a hospital icon will replace the food icon on the battlefield. Depending on the hospital quality it can be used from 1 to 5 times per citizen. Each use restores 10 health.
Very rare at the moment as hospitals are not cost effective for nations to buy.

Health Kits
At a cost of 0.5 gold, one of these Health Kits will increase your health by 10. It is much cheaper to use food. Only recommended for those with relatively high strength to tank (spend lost of gold on fighting) in important battles. For new players with a lust to spend vast amounts of gold (& spend real life cash on it) it’s recommended that you first invest in training up your strength.
