Now let’s talk a bit about what happened during the actual Summit. SO here we go.

2.New map

About what it offers until now you can read this quite informative article (scroll down for the English version).

It is quite interesting and you can have some fun playing with it. But, with those current features, will you be willing to use it more often or simply play with it for a few days and then get bored of it? What would you like to see implemented in it, what would make you use it on a semi-daily basis?

Besides the features it already offers and the ones suggested in the article above, I would personally love to see the regions “light up” when the cursor is above them and also the border regions too ( just like the egobba map for those of you who remember it). Also, although I am sure this one is harder to implement, I would love to have “route calculator” just like the google maps have. For instance, I would like to see how could eRomania get from let’s say Dobrogea to Karnataka.

3. Guerilla fights

It is in a prototype phase, beta-testing hasn’t really started yet so it can/will be shaped at least partly from players’ suggestion. It will not replace the present way of fighting, it will be more like an extension.

It will be, as described, a simplified version of Counter-Strike, so a real-time PvP(player versus player) fight. You can enter it by clicking on a button that will appear in the battlefield. If you don’t want to join a PvP (Guerilla) fight simply don’t click the button.

The button and therefor the ability to join a Guerilla fight will appear when and where there are sufficient opponents. This way situations like waiting for a sh*tload of time in a god forsaken RW in the middle of nowhere for an opponent to be appointed will be avoided. Also to make sure the round won’t finish while you’re still engaged in a PvP battle, Guerilla fights will not be allowed in the final minutes of the rounds.

Once you’ve clicked the “Join Guerilla Fight” button, you will join a rather fast queue, a match will be made for you, probably similar to the ones made nowadays in everyday’s battle, and the fight will start. From what I’ve seen on the summit you will be able to move around, use weapons, grenades, put on armour and who knows what else we’ll see in the final version. Also the battle “arena” will be quite interesting from what I’ve seen/heard.

You will not consume all your energy on these fights (unless you are willing to probably), the items you will use in this PvP module will not have (at least in the beginning) industries of their own and you will be able to purchase them from the Special Items page (I think) using currency. The prices for these items are announced to be affordable by pretty much anyone.

There will be certain benefits for the winners of these fights and probably certain disadvantages for the losers. You will receive a certain percentage of more influence (more rankpoints too hopefully) on the battlefield and you will also be able to loot stuff from your opponents inventory. Will it be from the actual inventory or a virtual one, what will you be able to loot (only weapons and food or raw materials, energy bars, maybe even currency/gold) and how the quantity of the loot will be determined are things that need to be decided.

These are the things we know a few things about. Let’s see what about we don’t know..

For me personally, the biggest issue is the one of the lag. I remember the big battles from Erepublik Rising when we experienced quite a big lag at times. Well, about this issue, I received assurances that the developers learned quite a few things from the previous experiences and that specific measures and precautions are going to be taken to ensure these fights will go smoothly. Well, can’t wait to see if that’s the case, honestly.

Will the NE affect the Guerilla fights? If so, will it only affect the amount of influence put in the percentage bar or will it affect the outcome of the Guerilla fight? Let’s take for instance a war between eRomania and eHungary.

Someone with RO citizenship (CS from now on) will receive the same NE bonus as someone with HU CS if they get to fight in a PvP battle. However, a Polish citizen will be in a disadvantage when fighting against a Romanian citizen. So I come and ask if the NE bonus will be available in PvP fights too, should an additional criteria be introduced regarding the match making or not? If it should, how? Soldiers with RO CS should be given only opponents with HU CS OR the RO CS soldier should receive as opponents HU CS soldiers with similar skills as him and other soldiers with different CS (other than HU) but with a little higher skills to make up for the NE bonus? Have no idea whether or not this issue has been taken into consideration, but it seems to me as an important one since I believe it might directly affect the number of players who will join the Guerilla fights.

Going on, at the Summit other questions were raised regarding this module. One of them was “what’s in it for me?” This question comes especially from a supertank’s perspective. A supertank will pour tons of damage in a short timeframe or will continue pouring damage until the round is won. So, why would he waste a few minutes to receive a (let’s say for argument’s sake) 50% bonus for a rather small amount of influence when he can drop 10 times that influence in the same timeframe? Maybe offer some sort of bonus in PvP damage after reaching a certain number or kills or a kill ratio ( should the MU you are in benefit in some way from your “carreer” stats? ) or maybe you can actually gain points for your side (thus making it possible for a round/battle to finish before the actual minimum of 90 minutes) or “paralyze” for 5/10 minutes the defeated opponent making him unable to fight for those 5/10 minutes in the classicall way?

After talking about the actual military impact the Guerilla Fight module will have, I’m starting to wonder what it’s impact on world economy will be.

As stated above, the equipment for the Guerilla fights will be available on the Special Items page, and we will be able to buy them using currency. The prices will be decent, according to Plato.

This means currency will be taken out of the game. The quantity of currency that will be taken out of the game depends mostly on how many people will use this new suplimentary module and how often. Currency leaving the game should mean the gold rates will decrease, thus MPPs, starting RWs and moving around the eWorld will all be more expensive.

Furthermore, using your energy in PvP fights, will cause less energy being used in ordinary fights, that means less weapons’ consumption, leading to deepening the overproduction crysis and to less income in country accounts. Well.. if the economy drops even further, I can only wonder where people will have currency from to buy equipment for the Guerilla fights. Maybe the same “place” they get money now to buy Q6/7 weapons to fight on a daily basis.

What if the market bot would be reactivated? Well, it wouldl cycle currency in game, offer some income both to the countries and to the citizens. However, to make any difference would it be enough to cycle only the currency that is taken out of the game via purchasing the Guerilla fights equipment? Would it be wise to go past that limit? I honestly don’t know.

Boobs?

2. Noua harta

Una dintre ele fiind "de ce as intra in PvP?"/"mie ce-mi iese?"

Ar incepe o plimbare a banilor in joc, poate ar mai intra niste moneda in trezorerie, dar si in buzunarele e-cetatenilor.

Tzatze?
