Headcount: Some Stats on the Sponsored Newcomers
United Underdog
If you moved here, take the survey.
I have finally finished tabulating all the persons who had received tickets:
http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0Aj6rDVlWTpAgdGplYldhSlB6dmJiSmEyaDBJR29WWUE&hl=en
We exceeded the goal of getting 125 people here on publically-sponsored tickets. In all, between tickets paid for by me and paid for by others in the public, 217 people are currently here on sponsored tickets... and still in the game, as evidenced by holding down a job in eGreece.
(Athens International Airport)
Current Citizenship
The breakdown is: 90 from Spain, 55 Canada, 54 USA, 8 Greece, 5 France, 1 Norway, 1 Poland, 1 Portugal, 1 Romania, and 1 United Kingdom. The 8 with citizenship in Greece were Canadians who were among the first to move here and were approved before much more massive immigration and before the program went public.
Military Statistics
The 217 sponsored arrivals have an impressive average strength of 5.528.
They also have a pitiful average rank of 2.54. Classifying Privates (rank 1) as "Carebears," Corporals (rank 2) as "Civilians," Seargeants and Lieutenants (ranks 3 and 4) as "Soldiers," and ranks 5+ as "Veterans," there are 88 Carebears, 39 Civilians, 60 Soldiers, and 30 Veterans among the newcomers.
If all of the newcomers were to use 5 Q1 guns at wellness 100 down to 60, in one day these newcomers would do 36,658 damage. However, if the damage came from only soldiers and veterans, the damage would be 24,309 instead. I believe that reaching out to some of these players who, like many others, fail to participate in battles, is an important part of improving the military readiness of Greece.
Economic Statistics
The newcomers do fairly well in terms of wellness. Using a scale where wellness below 40 is "critical," wellness of 40 to 80 is "poor," wellness of 80 to 90 is "good," and wellness of over 90 is "excellent": Of the arrivals, 38 are in critical condition, 41 poor, 21 good, and 117 excellent. This could be improved even further with education and gifting programs for those in poor and critical condition.
In terms of skills possessed, 12 have Construction as their highest skill (with an average 3.52 skill), 98 are most skilled in Manufacturing (with an average 4.02 skill), and 107 are most skilled in Land (with an average 4.27 skill). It's good to see that they are entering the economy at relatively high levels of skill, but it is clear to me that Manufacturing in Greece needs to accomodate the growing number of available workers (as well as increased demand from the population in general).
Those Not Counted
There were a couple dozen not counted because they did not currently have a job, so I basically assumed them on vacation or quit the game. There were a few more dozen who didn't arrive for whatever reason.
Please Welcome, Once Again, These Arrivals
... as well as the hundreds more who found it quite worthwhile to make it here of their own means! I am very happy about the success of this project, both in offering these players the ability to continue their eRep life in a country other than that of a foreign occupier, and in increasing the military and economic strength of Greece. I am hoping that the greatest possible number of these residents of Greece like it enough to stay.
I'd also like to put in a word for the newborn Greeks. We have lots of them. I mean, if I am reading things right, even more than we have by immigration. It's just that most of them don't get into the game and quit. If you can think of anything you can do to prevent that, even on a small and local scale, please do so. Making personal contact with employees is a great step for managers; making contact with any of the young players in a region for which you plan to run for office also lies in the self-interest of those seeking congressional seats. But, in general, say hello to somebody today... even if it's out of the blue! It's the personal contact that will ultimately keep anyone who stays in the game, in the game.

I'm new way before the Immigration moving tickets. Proud to support eGreece in it's time of defense.
Awesome information,
Who do I talk to to get my citizenship approved? I have two applications for some reason.
Good to see more people are moving here. I'm very happy with my choice to live here.

As one of the eCanadian who's now, an eGreek citizen, I'm proud to say that I have all reason to feel that my choice was the right one.
I came here as a sickly 40-wellness, level 4 pleeb who'd been born a little more than a week before and who'd been overrun by the eFrench, eBrits, and eHuns. Now, I'm a 95+ wellness Hard Worker, Congressional candidate, and most ardent anti-eTurk citizen alive.
THANK you, Buck Roger (UU) for helping me fly here. THANK you, eGreece for giving me a home. And THANK you eGreek government for helping me become a eal e-man.
And to eGreece's new immigrants and aspiring eGreeks, I salute you. Hail ... HAIL!

Greece FTW!
Greetings from Sparta!!
Im here to help.
Voted. Buck you've done a great service for Greece, all the allied countries listed, and all of those players individually. Thanks for that and for my own ticket. Yeay, I'm a soldier! Though carebear woulda been kinda cool too.
I don't think you can save a battle with a Carebear Stare. However, I think it's a great mechanic, and we should petition the admins.
Interesting article...good job mate!

Came here on my own tickets after the battles of Ontario, then New Jersey. I'm going to stay and fight for a while and earn enough for a bunch of weapons for RWs. Thanks for the welcome, Greece!
