Hey,

In this series of articles I will be outlining exactly what I believe is wrong with the eUK, and also what is right. Most importantly, I will be saying what we can do about what is wrong. This is not going to be a convential manifesto which floods you with policy, although that will be covered later. This article specifically is designed to give those later ideas context, and show you the reasoning behind the policies

Overcomplication

When I started out in the eUK, the eUK was a very similar place. As my competitor Dish put it so well, I will simply quote directly from him,

"We've always had 100 people running around these forums shouting at the others basically telling them how ineffective they are. That's not new. It's always existed here.

BUT AT THE END OF THE DAY, WE GOT THINGS DONE. WE ACCOMPLISHED THINGS."

So all that is happened over these long months is that the same problem we had before has been exacerbated. Back when I started out as a politician, my main idea was the idea of Unity across the eUK. Since that time, things have blurred and we have lost focus of what we really need. So, in these articles, I will be going back to my roots of eUK politics and focusing on Unity and simplification.

Unity

Recently, the eUK has gone into a nosedive, and in my opinion this is of no fault of the leaders. It is something that is fundamentally wrong with our mindset and the eUK's place in the eWorld.

Firstly, we are not a super power, but we have the potential to be. The only way we can reach this potential is if we realise that there is no use in bickering over trivial matters, and slamming government officials. If we want to accomplish something, we have to remember that we are ALL citizens of the eUK, regardless of party. It does not matter whether you are a member of UKRP, TUP, PCP, RFA or any other party; what keeps us all together is that we are citizens of the eUK - we need to start acting like it.

As I see it, the reason why there has been such a divide in the eUK is because we have stagnated as a country since the collapse of ATLANTIS; the eUK, as a whole, has nothing to unite AGAINST. We need some kind of common enemy. Without this common enemy we have started infighting, and this can achieve nothing. I will discuss this in detail later.

Collective Responsibility

When I talk about Unity, however, I am not just talking about the forum-goers - I'm talking about everyone. As such, we have to remember that the good few thousand people who live in the eUK do not ALL go to the forums. That is their decision, and they should not be ignored. In fact, they should be catered for. We have to get out of our bubble and realise that the in-game mechanics are the most important things to almost all citizens of the eWorld. Therefore, we need to utilise these game mechanics to make the eUK a more welcoming place; this can be done through cheaper food so people can maintain wellness as well as more Training Wars. Once again, these will be covered in detail in later articles.

As I said earlier, that should give some context for later arguments. I hope you will go back to these when reading the later policy focused articles so you can see the over all picture and goal for the eUK.
