Happy Monday (03/19/12)

Happy Monday All! Last week was spring break, and while I still intended to keep this paper going over my little 'vacation' (ha), Zeus had other plans for me. Instead of kicking back and relaxing, I worked my ass off since there were numerous call-outs and scheduling issues at my work. Essentially, I became a two-clicker for a week, and I liked it...but I missed the paper. While I didn't party at all over my spring break, I did however find a new love. Disaronno Originale, how I love you so...you are my favorite.
Anyways, back to this paper. Just a short one today to get back into the groove of things. It's great to be back and kicking, but I'm going to cut the paper down to MWF editions. I feel like daily papers was too much work, for too little subs. Anyways, Enjoy!

We're "too little subs"? Nice to know you appreciate your subscribers.
uh... no real info about erepublik???
i agree with niccky...... and jetsmets........ please keep the erep news in... still love the paper
😁^Of course I appreciate my subscribers. Collectively, you are one of the top reasons I write this paper.
But another top reason is to achieve MM. I can't help but to be annoyed by the fact that there are other ways to attain MM, ways that take two to three weeks tops to reach MM, yet I've chosen to take the honest route. I've been writing now for about three months, consistently, with only a few days missed due to RL issues, and have only come a third of the way to MM. For the most part, my subscribers don't shout my paper, despite my asking them to do so. I can count only on a handful of subscribers to consistently shout this paper, yet I can consistently count on at least one comment asking for more information about what's going on in eRep. I've recently added Asia back into my area of coverage, and expanded into the indo-islands, yet still received snide comments about other areas that I need to cover, or should have covered.
With that being said, perhaps I could have worded it better. It's not necessarily too little subs for too much work, but I feel that if I'm expected to respond to my readers and commit to their wishes, then shouldn't I be allowed, to some degree, to expect my readers to commit to my wishes?
What frustrates me the most, however, is that players like pizza, an enemy of the state, can offer false promises of gold for subs to his paper and reach MM within a few days. I don't believe that anyone honestly thought that pizza would pay up, and therefore I'm lead to conclude that over 1,000 people willingly and freely offered up a sub to one of the most villainous players of the game. But a paper that attempts to maintain a balance of humor, honesty, and integrity, directed by a player who holds these same values struggle to gain just over 100 subscribers a month.
I guess it shouldn't surprise me though, eRep's not all that different from RL, and the good guy always makes out last.
