Happy 4th of July eUSA!!
Neil Lewis
Can you say .... wiped?!?
Well, almost. There are a couple of territories hidden under Montpelier, and they may get Texas back before the date-change .. but, then again, maybe not. Just New Hampshire left: BOOM! And it's gone!!!!!
I certainly do NOT celebrate the DEFEAT of British Forces, especially as it was a war initially secretly funded by the dastardly French, from Canada, long before they openly sent forces. Then Britain faced war with both Spain & Holland, in support of the US rebels, whilst her only possible allies, Prussia and Austria, were having their own tiff, although some German states did send troops to support the Hanoverian King George III! So the USA was born from the back-stabbing, self-interest of the older, weaker, European empires who gained financially as they all later sold territories to the new "country". Bet the US schools don't bother to teach that!!!!!!
Oh well, that is now consigned to the history books, and the official course of events was written by the victors. However this 4th of July I, for one, will be celebrating the eUSA wiped from the map!!!

Ohhh that's why they celebrate independence day 8I
I find it funny and slightly ironic that the USA was formed on the basis of tax evasion :3
BOOM!!! AND IT'S GONE!!!!!!
RIP eUSA
They do teach that in schools, we are not a stoopid as you think.
By the way, how do you post a comment? I can't find the dam- Oh there it is, Will press it now
No, what I meant is do the US schools teach it correctly, i.e. that they relied on 3 has-been European empires, who were only on the make, to throw us British out.
Oh, and the 4th of July was the Declaration of Independence in 1776, over a year into the war, and not at the end of the war in 1783. Not exactly "Independance Day" eh?
The crux of the matter is, 230 years since the end of hostilities, why do the US still make a big thing of defeating who they now regard as their greatest ally? And why the hell do some people over here make such a big deal of it too, and expect everyone else to? I don't expect the Germans celebrate the 1919 Treaty of Versaille [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Treaty_of_Versailles]
Why the British spoiled the heritage of Prince William III. He helped the British to make money, to unite the nation and to conquer Ireland.
The British back stabbed their Dutch allies in the treaty of Utrecht.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Treaty_of_Utrecht
Than it is only natural the Dutch and others did the same to the British later and made independence possible for the US.
Seems that the British still didn't learn their lessons...
Really? The British "back-stabbed" the Dutch by having the Austrians provide a buffer to French aggression in giving them what is now Belgium? The Dutch gained a lot from the Barrier Treaties, especially, and bizarrely, from Prussia!
I admit we are not taught the correct time of the declaration of independence, but we are taught about how the french, spanish, and dutch helped us out. And honestly they celebrate it because it was the first democracy on a rather large scale.
And by the way, could you draw me a picture and show me where the fuck the post comment button is? I KEEP LOSING IT!!! Oh there it is again damn button
