guten heute leute: my light on Germany at the moment
MortenLond
I'm sorry to disappoint you all, but I'm back. I've been looking at the situation on Germany, and I've gotta say: There is something rotten in eGermany. I've been away for the last 4 months and I come back to this?
Germany has gone from a neutral point to foreigners from other real life countries to being single-handedly German. You've made German the national language, only making English a thing one shouldn't do too often. What is this? xenophobia?
4 months ago we were dead scared of Poland invading Germany anytime they wanted. Everything was singled at keeping the Polish at bay. Then when they don't move you go ahead and destroy yourself by policies. Now not to say anything bad about Germany, but damn, it is not a big country in the eWorld and thinking you are bigger is still wrong. The babyboom didn't happen and the re-capture of SH shouldn't really change your mind of the position of Germany in the eWorld.
And seriously, stop the rhetoric on emotions. Even taking in regard the situation of Germany after the polish-swedish invasion those many months ago, even then, a MPP with South Korea would be considered stupid and un-wise.
I'll be campaigning for the re-installation of English as one of the main language. Not necessarily for office though.

Well said Morten \o/
one guy more, who give us a Opinion ... Great, as next attack please the Communists and gave them the guilty, so your Article comes to a sensefully contribution to the egerman Media ! 😛
Why should Germans speak English in their own country?!
There are translators so that anybody has the ablity to understand German news etc. there´s no reason for speaking English!!
Because it worked good in the past with no bickering like you have now, and the founding members of eGermany wouldn't feel left out of what they helped create.
If you not speak german for der german-only speaking minority no one will speak english for the non german speakers.
Wenn du es nicht schaffst deutsch für die einzig deustch sprechende minderheit zu sprechen wird niemand englisch sprechen für die nicht deutschsprachigen.
Welcome back, Morten! Well said!
Sorry Morten but English won't be a big deal here anymore. Not mainly because of Xenophobia, but of Convenience. Most people don't want to write and read in English because it is more wearisome.
And by the way, the English-Speakers are a very small Minority today. In the old days, eGermanys active Players mainly consisted of non-Germans. But today I think I can count them with my two hands. Konrad, Elisa Vorimberg, Alex Drex, you... Justin Tyme? Hmm, didn't even need my second hand.
Sorry, but u can't expect from 2000 germans not to use their Mother-Language just because of a handful of people.
And if we would be so xenophobic, Konrad wouldn't have become President.
And we sure wouldn't answer ur article in english.
@ Sven
OK, das macht weder in Englisch noch in Deutsch Sinn 🙂
OK, that doesn't make any sense, neither in English nor in German 🙂
Lifthrasirs right.
Nothing left to say.
@lifthrasir
"You've made German the national language, only making English a thing one shouldn't do too often. What is this? xenophobia?"
I don´t think so. You may use it as often as you like. I believe the discussion was about official articles and still enough people will listen when you use english in a discussion.
One Problem is that many germans don´t speak english at all or in only poor quality. So I think it´s not xenophobia it´s just less work and a democratic question.
..and it´s not our fault that most British only know their own language 😉
GrafZahl: I'm danish, so my mother language isen't English. I understand written german as good as any bloke, but I simply can't write it myself. I am however much more skilled in English, than in German.
@ Sven
Sorry aber deine Grammatik ist einfach der Horror in deinem ersten Post. In beiden Sprachen.
Kommata sind nicht der Feind 🙂
@ Morten
So where is the problem? U can read our texts and most eGermans understand what u want to say.

I personally support more english speaking, but that is due to my personal handicap 😃
@Morten: My problem is that your articel is a bit too aggresiv.. nobody likes the xenophobia-word.. I think your post is about the initiative to create a multilingual society in egermany proposed by Konrad.. His problem was I believe that his initative was a bit to arrogant in his argumentes(almost never bothered himself to translate his articles into german) and also his doubtfull moralic views during the Gobba-Crisis which made some eGermans angry..
..but tell me were do YOU faced yourself with xenophobia in egermany?
and please ignore the minority that insults you only because you use english! There will allways be idiots in e and RL world..
"I personally support more english speaking, but that is due to my personal handicap 😃"
You see, on english articles you get english replies, on german articles you get german ones and on troll article you get troll answers ... so everyone gets what he wants and deserves in the land of possibilities (naj, I mean eGermany not US 😁).
And yep Morten, outside eGer nobody understands what our whise congress has done there \o/
